When Jeff agreed to be the sperm donor to his best friend Beth, he never expected a tragedy to leave his newborn and three-year-old motherless. Beth’s loss has totally thrown his life into chaos: his lover has left him, his house isn’t anywhere near childproof, and his boss feels the restaurant has been patient enough with Jeff’s time off.

Donny has always known he wanted to work with kids, and he just finished his degree in early childhood education. He didn’t count on the prejudice he’d face as not only a male nanny, but a gay one at that. Job-hunting has been frustrating to say the least, so when he knocks on Jeff's door and is greeted by the sounds of things breaking and a pair of screaming children, he thinks maybe he can begin this particular interview with a trial by fire.

Becoming the nanny to Jeff's children might be a dream come true for Danny and exactly what Jeff needs, but are either of them ready to really be a family?

3.5 “Sugary Sweet” Stars

Daddy, Daddy and Me is a sweet contemporary MM romance about a man thrust into instant fatherhood and his saving grace that comes knocking on his door.

Jeff’s life is in complete chaos. His best friend died in a house fire leaving behind two young children (children who Jeff was a sperm donor for) who are now in his care, he’s trying his best to handle this huge change into fatherhood while keeping up with his demanding job as chef and, as if things were not crappy enough, his long term partner selfishly leaves him. Donny comes into his life at exactly the right moment. Jeff is stressed and overwhelmed. With a degree in childcare and wonderful references, Donny is a god-send immediately taking over and showing Jeff that he can handle the children and the house. Amidst all the pandemonium, both men discover that they are attracted to each other. However, is Jeff ready to move on? Are they all ready to become one big happy family?

I feel like I need to mention this as it may deter a few readers from giving this one a go. Daddy, Daddy and Me is a very sweet book with a big dollop of sugary love. For me, personally, I enjoy books that are over the top when it comes to sunshine, love, happiness, rainbows and unicorns farts. Every now and again it is nice to read a book with little to no angst and simply take in all the cheesy goodness that is love and a happy forever. That is what this book did for me. It put a smile on my face and had me happily sighing.

All in all, Daddy, Daddy and Me was an enjoyable read. Recommended read for those with a little bit of a sweet tooth.

Meet Sean Michael

A prolific author, Sean Michael takes notes dictated by the men who live in his head and shares their stories. Often referred to as "Space Cowboy" and "Gangsta of Love" while still striving for the moniker of "Maurice," Sean Michael spends his days surfing, smutting, organizing his immense gourd collection and fantasizing about one day retiring on a small secluded island peopled entirely by horseshoe crabs. While collecting vast amounts of vintage gay pulp novels and mood rings, Sean whiles away the hours between dropping the f-bomb and pursuing the Kama Sutra by channeling the long-lost spirit of John Wayne and singing along with the soundtrack to Chicago. A long-time writer of complicated haiku, Sean is currently attempting to learn the advanced arts of plate-spinning and soap-carving sex toys. Barring any of that? He'll stick with writing his stories, thanks, and rubbing pretty bodies together to see if they spark.
