Featured Guest Author: Dark & Dazzling (Sassy Boyz) by Elizabeth Varlet. Includes Guest Post & Giveaway.

We are thrilled to welcome Elizabeth Varlet to Sinfully today as she celebrates the release of her new book Dark & Dazzling, the second book in her Sassy Boyz series.

The Five Best Things about Being an M/M Romance Author

1. The fans! Of course. How could it be anything else? You guys are the absolute best. Seriously, romance genre fans in general are amazing but m/m romance readers? They are fantastic.

2. The research. *wink wink* I get to read about (and watch) all kinds of cool things and all of it is great, especially the smexy bits. I have a great excuse to get down and dirty with the research. I have to, it’s my job.

3. The characters. They are deeply flawed but love so much. I find there is so much freedom in pairing two guys together. I can let my inspirations loose.

4. The authors. I adore other m/m romance authors. I love their books. I love their spirit. And I love being a part of such a stellar group.

5. The love. Because there is so much love in the m/m romance genre. It comes in so many different shapes and sizes. As a lover of love, I revel in it.

So that’s my top 5 list. I want to know yours. What are your favorite things about the genre? Why do you chose to read m/m romance? Who is your favorite author?

Let me know in the comments below.

Z doesn't need a hero…

Azariah "Z" Hayes is a diamond. Equal parts strength and sparkle, he's more than capable of standing on his own stilettos. So if waiting tables and stripping at The Vibe are what it takes to keep a roof over his head, well, there are worse ways to earn a living.

Connelly is a white knight with a badge…

For NYPD detective Connelly Reid, to serve and protect is just another day at the office—even if that means protecting himself from his own true desires. He's been curious about Z, his waiter, for months, but it's not until he sees him in his makeup and heels that the curiosity becomes a fierce attraction. Z, despite all his over-the-top dazzle, might just be the man Connelly has been waiting for his entire life.

But when Connelly investigates underground porn and drug activity with ties to The Vibe, one thing becomes very clear—acting on what he knows is going to hurt Z, financially and emotionally. And though Connelly would love nothing more than to fix all of Z's problems, no amount of mind-blowing sex can make Z comfortable becoming dependent on his lover. Yet if there's one thing Connelly knows from his years on the force, it's this: when things go bad, you need a trusted partner to have your back.

She started writing stories in high school and hasn’t stopped. Now her characters like to get frisky under the covers. Or the stars, or in a car, or up against the wall—they’re not picky.

Elizabeth believes in love of all shapes and sizes and wants nothing more than to share the beauty in the form of stories.

::: And the winner is……. ALINE PACK ……. CONGRATULATIONS! :::

  1. I'm even an author and I've been enjoying #2!

    1. It's hot!! There is a whole new set of challenges they have to face that I haven't ever had to.
    2. See #1. Plus I'm so sick of the same regurgitated plots of millionaire or stepbrother m/f books it's not even funny!
    3. I haven't been reading m/m for long, but I loved what I've read from Santino Hassell, Elle Kennedy, Riley Hart and Damon Suede.

    1. Those are some amazing authors, all on my favs list as well. :)

  2. Congratulations Elizabeth on your newest release!

    1. HOT HOT HOT. Love the MC is just all the M/M book I read. I love the realistic life situations that bring two Alpha Males together, but when together they allow their vulnerability to show.
    2. See #1 above. Also, I have tried to go back to M/F books but OMG...boring same plot with little to no twist. By chapter 2, I'm done.
    3. Well picking a favorite author would be like picking a favorite child. I enjoy several favorites for various reasons (each one different): Riley Hart, Kindle Alexander, A.E. Via, Felice Stevens, Sloane Kennedy, Ann Lister, Sandrine Gasq-Dion, Elle Frank, T.A. McKay...gosh I could go on and on and on!!

    1. The hidden and often painful vulnerability is one of the best things about mm romance.

  3. i am a big fan AE Via and Felice stevens

  4. Congrats on Release
I've always loved romance it's the escape
I have many authors I love Sharon Hamilton, Zoe York , Tracy Tappan etc.
    Great cover

    1. Thank you. The Carina Press art team is amazing. <3

  5. I love all the different types of stories that available within this genre!

I have always love romance but I really really got tired of M/F stories. Everything just seemed to be the same just with the names changed.

I think I have too many favorite authors but here is a sampling - Mercy Celeste, Josh Lanyon, Sandrine Gasq-Dion, Cardeno C., Avon Gale, Santino Hassell, Riley Hart, Ann Lister, A.E. Via, Carter Quinn, etc., etc., etc!

    1. Whoa, your list is as long as mine. :) It's great to have so many authors to adore.

  6. I enjoy how different they are.
I find them hot and also very compassionate and caring.
I have so many JOsh Lanyon, Amber Kell, Charlie Cochet, RJ

  7. 1) The writing style and the romance comes off more authentic and real to me.
    2) The story line, the romance, the characters everything is just seems to have more depth to it. I loved the feelings they inspire in me. There's just a feel good quality to it.
    3) Charlie Cochet, Mary Calmes, Josh Lanyon, Jordan Castillo Price, Eresse, J.C. Owens, Cardeno C., Jaime Reese, Riley Hart, the list just goes on.

  8. 1) I love the diversity, there are so many different pairings, personalities, experiences in this genre. I feel like I'm almost always reading the same book in M/F romance where the heroin is beautiful and the hero is so handsome and everything is so perfect. I love how many M/M heroes are flawed, much more authentic and attractive!

    2) I heard great things about a book in the M/M genre and I said to myself why not? I actually don't see the big difference: love is love, romance is romance and as long as the writing and stories are good I'm all for it. And I do enjoy reading about men's shoulders, and chest, and back anbd buttocks... way much more than reading about female attributes ;)

    3) In no particular order: Abigail Roux, Riley Hart, Keira Andrews, KJ Charles, Joedan L. Hawk, Charlie Cochet, Leta Blake, Tiffany Reisz (she sometimes go full M/M).

Thanks for the chance at the giveaway.
