Owen's eagerness to win Sebastian back turns to desperation as a tsunami threatens to tear them apart.
The last twelve months have been hard on Owen Hewitt and even tougher on his relationship. For six years, Sebastian Carmichael has been the love of his life, but that love is put to the test as Owen sinks into injury-induced depression.
Living with chronic pain and unable to do the things he used to do makes him feel like a failure, and causes him to believe he's holding the younger Sebastian back.
When Sebastian takes some time out and leaves to stay at their holiday house, it could spell the end of the relationship. But as a tsunami bears down on the Tasmanian coast, it could spell the end of everything.

Freya’s Review

Owen and Sebastian have been together for six years. But, since Owen’s injury, things had been strained. Owen couldn’t do the things he used to. It made him depressed, and he was taking it out on Sebastian.

The story starts by establishing the relationship between the boys. For the most part, it is loving and good, but Owen’s shoulder stops him taking part in the activities that meant so much to him and Sebastian. There is an age difference, too. Owen believes he’s getting too old for Sebastian, and thoughts that his love will leave, sink him deeper into depression. Days of heaven are intermingled with fighting. Then, one day, Sebastian, while declaring his love for Owen, decides to take a time out and visit their holiday home. The vacation is designed to give Owen some space to sort out his thoughts.

The two undoubtedly love each other, but sometimes the focus is lost on what matters in a relationship. Then, as the proverbial light blinked and Owen saw his and Sebastian’s relationship clearly, a tsunami hits the coast where Seb is staying. Despite the imminent disaster, he heads to the island where his Sebastian is. What happens next you’ll have to read for yourself.

This Storming Love Story is well written with none of the technical hiccups that get my blood boiling. I love the pairing of a good writer and editor. But, for me, I’d have liked to have seen a little bit more of the heart in mouth parts on the island. Nic Starr is an awesome writer, who is more than capable of keeping a reader on edge for longer. Then again, the important part of this story is the love between Sebastian and Owen.

This story is a shortie but a sweetie. There is love between these pages, and although the heat rating is low, the sex isn’t missed, nor is it necessary for the tale. The tsunami wasn’t the catalyst in the realization process, but it packs a hard punch. What follows after is….. you’ll have to read.
