In a life full of yes, no is the sexiest word he’s ever heard.

Bad in Baltimore, Book 5

David Beauchamp might as well be in jail. After one too many misunderstandings with the law, he’s chained to the city by the GPS and alcohol sensor strapped to his ankle. Awaiting trial, cut off from usual forms of entertainment, he goes looking for a nameless sexual encounter—and winds up with almost more than he can handle.

Reality comes crashing back the next day with a summons for another random drug test, and the man behind the badge turns out to be the very man who took him for one hell of a ride.

Probation Officer Tai Fonoti is used to handling other people’s problems, but he’s horrified when one of the clients his boss dumps on him is the sweet piece of ass he screwed the night before. It makes getting a urine sample a pretty loaded situation.

That single encounter left Beach craving Tai’s unique brand of control and discipline. But while Tai relishes laying down the law in the bedroom, the letter of the law stands between them and kinkily ever after.

Warning: This book is kinky. I mean kinky. With lots of sex. It describes a fully consensual, intense D/s relationship which changes a character’s life. It includes impact play and bondage along the way to a very happily ever after.

Liza’s Review

David "Beach" Beauchamp might not be able to drink or take drugs, or do a lot else while he has an electronic bracelet around his ankle, but he can pick up men - even if they are adamant they have to make the first move. That was our first introduction to Tai.

"Near missed your chance. Thought you weren't interested."

"Like hell." Sweet Lord, the voice was sin. "But I make the first move."

"You can move it anyway you like if your cock can cash the check your mouth is writing."

Beach isn't sure if he's into being told what to do, but that one night with Tai certainly pushed some buttons for him. Unfortunately, because of his job, Tai doesn't think he can take Beach up on the offers the man is blatantly giving. But of course, Tai has to give in at some point, otherwise this wouldn't be a story.

When these two men come together it is electric - not just the power exchange, but the sensations that the author is so good at describing. Most of their interactions are in scenes, because that is Tai’s way, but it is also something that Beach desperately needs and the author does a great job of explaining both sides of the equation.

Oxygen was overrated when a man was this focused on him, was pinning him with a hand at his neck and ass, forcing sensations into his body, building the tension with the dry hump of their hips together.

The connection between Tai and Beach was intense, but there were other elements in Beach's life that he had to face, and the one thing that man had never been good at was facing things. I like how the story resolved itself, and how even though Tai was a Dom, he had his own issues that needed resolution so he could be good for Beach.

Overall a very good story, with a strong BDSM element. The scenes were intense but necessary in showing the development of trust that needs to evolve in that type of relationship. The characters were so well developed I developed real feelings for them and to me that is the mark of an awesome author. I really wanted to read more about them and it was already a decent sized book.  Highly recommended.
