The two main characters of J.R. Gray’s kinky m/m contemporary romance, Say Yes, are James and Charles. Today they’re joining Sinfully Sexy with an exclusive interview where James interviews Charles...and shenanigans ensue!

**

“Can you believe we are actually doing this?” James was a little too giddy for Charles tastes, but a small part of him found it endearing of the young man. Oh how youth was lost on Charles. He’d have to live vicariously through James a bit.

“I can believe it. You better have made it good.”

“Thanks for putting the pressure on.”

“You’re quite welcome.”

James narrowed his eyes, which delighted Charles. It meant he’d gotten under his submissive’s skin, which he loved to do.

“First question,” James paused, and Charles had to assume it was for dramatic affect. He pretended to ignore it. “What is your favorite position?”

“Seriously?”

“What’s wrong with it?” James asked.

“Right out of the gate with such a cliche?”

“Just answer the question.”

“Any one that makes you most uncomfortable,” Charles said easily.

“You’re not giving anything away are you?”

“Of course not.”

James’ head fell back and he groaned. “Next question: What made you realize you wanted to be a dominant.”

“I actually don’t mind answering this one.” Charles grinned. “I had a dear friend when I was in my early twenties who wanted to explore the underground sex clubs in the city. I was already dominant in the bedroom, but kink wasn’t as common place as it is now.”

“How did it turn out?” James was on the edge of his seat.

“Is this the next question?”

“Of course it is. Go on.”

“Well she found the scene was more fantasy for her, and she didn’t like it in practice. After of course I sat for hours, naked, watching her be ganged banged. It was a little awkward.”

James scrubbed a hand down his face. “I mean how did it turn out for you…wait why did you sit naked?”

“It was a sex party, and clothes weren’t allowed. She was the only woman, and there were way too many dicks.”

“So you just sat in the corner naked?”

Charles chuckled. “Amusing isn’t it?”

“Quiet a bit. But now tell me about your experience.”

“Well I was like a kid in a candy store in the first underground kink club we went to. I wanted everything.”

James groaned. “I would have loved to see it.”

Charles leaned in setting his elbows on his knees. “You can.”

“How is that?”

“We could do a public scene.” Charles could tell James was struggling to keep control of himself. He drank in the lust, rolling off James. It was his favorite. “Do you have any other questions.”

“I think I forgot them all.”

“Shame.” Charles wore a wolfish grin. He was hungry.

“Like your questions are any better.”

“Mine will be much better.”

James glared. “You always have to out do me don’t you?”

Charles raised one shoulder. “I like to win.”

“Cocky bastard.”

“And?” Charles replied.

Synopsis

James failed.
He tried to be what they wanted.
He tried to deny it.
He tried to be a good Catholic boy…but it’s become too much.
He craves pain, submission.
He’s denied himself far too long, and it’s eating him alive.
Charles thrives off the exchange of power. He knows the world revolves around control. It’s given and taken like currency, in business and in pleasure. He won’t get attached, though, or so he tells himself, until James turns his world upside down. He’s defiant and snarky, but Charles can taste the submission on him.
Charles holds the key to his salvation but James has to Say Yes.

Meet J.R. Gray

gray newWhen not staying up all night writing, J.R. Gray can be found at the gym where it's half assumed he is a permanent resident to fulfill his self-inflicted masochism. A dominant and a pilot, Gray finds it hard to be in the passenger seat of any car. He frequently interrupts real life, including normal sleep patterns and conversations, to jot down notes or plot bunnies. Commas are the bane of his existence even though it's been fully acknowledged they are necessary, they continue to baffle and bewilder. If Gray wasn't writing…well, that's not possible. The buildup of untold stories would haunt Gray into an early grave, insanity or both. The idea of haunting has always appealed to him. J.R. Gray is genderqueer and prefers he/him pronouns.

  1. Hands down (or up, or more accurately tied... really tight!) my favourite kinky romance is The Original Sinners series by Tiffany Reisz, especially book #3 The Prince as this is the one with the most of MM scenes!

Congrats on the release and thanks for the chance at the giveaway.

  2. I'm with Elle (above). The Original Sinners series by Tiffany Reisz is very hard (if not impossible) to beat. But, I recently read On His Knees by Adira August, and that's something very special too.

  8. Kinky means different things to everyone so it's had to say what was kinky and what wasn't.
