Two years after his life fell apart, Will Dawson moved to Florida to start over. His job in the tech department of Idyll Fling, a gay porn studio, is ideal for him. When his boss forces him to take on a new hire, the last person he expects is Dallas Greene—the man who cost him his job and his boyfriend back in Connecticut. He doesn’t know what’s on Dallas’s agenda, but he won’t be blindsided by a wolf masquerading as a runway model. Not again.

Dallas might have thrown himself on his brother’s mercy, but his skills are needed at Idyll Fling. Working with Will is a bonus, since Dallas has never forgotten the man. A good working relationship is only the beginning of what Dallas wants with Will.

But Dallas doesn’t realize how deep Will’s distrust runs, and Will doesn’t know that the man he’s torn between loving and hating is the boss’s brother. When all truths are revealed, how can a relationship built on lies still stand?

Debra’s Review

Will has gotten his life back together after it all fell apart two years ago when he found himself jobless, boyfriendless and living with his parents once again at thirty years old. Moving from Connecticut to Florida to head the tech department at Idyll Fling was a good move. Will has friends, a side business and total control over his job. He’s not going to be blindsided again so he is working himself ragged, but is still falling behind. He won’t even give his part-time intern any work to do. When his boss, Stefan, takes it upon himself to hire Will a new employee, he can’t believe when his nemesis, the man who cost him everything, walks through the door.

Dallas Greene is 24 and has lost everything. Losing his job, his boyfriend, his health and his family has left him with nowhere else to go so he’s run from Connecticut to his half-brother’s in Florida. Luckily Stefan is happy to have him live with him and happy to employ him. In a stroke of luck, the man he has crushed on since they worked together two years ago is still working at Idyll Fling. Too bad Will seems to not recognize Dallas and to not be happy at all about his new co-worker.

Misunderstandings, hurt feelings, and so many secrets are huge stumbling blocks to a cordial working relationship, not to mention any possibility of something more. Both men are doing their best to hide their desire for the other, but it’s only so long before they start hooking up. Quickies at work or a few hours in Will’s bed soon isn’t enough, but Will doesn’t understand what Dallas could ever really see in him and Dallas is the last person Will should be with for so many reasons. Dallas wants nothing more than to be with Will but he’s done hiding and isn’t going to let Will keep him a secret. Just when things seem to be working themselves out everyone’s secrets come out at the worst possible time. Can Will possibly do anything to save the best thing that has happened to him in his life?

It’s obvious early on that these men have two different mindsets about past events so the alternating points of view are essential to the story. Dallas doesn’t understand Will’s animosity, but is patient enough to try to break through. Will fears Dallas is there to sabotage him and ruin his life once again. I think we could all relate to Will’s situation to some extent. Everything falls apart in your life and you need to blame someone, whether they were the cause or not. These two are so stubborn, it’s a good thing there’s all that hot sex to work off the tension!

I really enjoyed Dallas and Will together. They had great chemistry whether they were butting heads at work or having some getting to know you times, they played off each other so well. Dallas and his tendency to blush around the models ignites Will’s jealous and possessive side and Dallas gets under Will’s skin so much, he turns him into someone his co-workers barely recognize.

If you like a good enemies to lovers story, you’ll enjoy this. It works as a standalone but if you’ve read Tartan Candy you’ll be glad that there’s plenty of support from Will’s best friend Raven and Caleb’s cousin Jaime is back as well. I adore Jaime and I need his story. There are also a couple of Idyll Fling models, Beck and Javier, who seem to need a good man so I suspect we’ll be seeing another book or two in this series.

Finlay McIntyre (aka Raven) is a successful adult film star with a penchant for kilts, until an accident cuts short his stardom and leaves him with zero sexual desire, lowered self-esteem, and no job. He knew his porn career wouldn’t last forever, but he wasn’t prepared for retirement at twenty-eight. While trying to figure out the rest of his life, Raven agrees to attend a high school reunion. That’s when a malfunctioning AC unit in his hotel room changes everything.
Caleb Sanderson, an entrepreneur with his own HVAC business, has no idea what to expect when he steps into Raven’s hotel room to fix his AC unit. They’re attracted to each other, but Caleb, closeted, can’t afford a gay relationship, not with his mom pressuring him to produce grandchildren. If he wants to keep Raven—who no closet could hold—he’ll need to tell his family the truth. But Raven has a few secrets of his own. He refuses to reveal his porn past to Caleb, a past that might be the final obstacle to Caleb and Raven having any kind of relationship.
