Can the kinky billionaire owner of Dark Fantasy Resort Casino capture the heart of a muscled SWAT officer with a secret fetish?

SWAT Team Hostage Negotiator, Steve, wonders why he can’t stay away from the spoiled rich Allistair, owner of Dark Fantasy Resort Casino. They have mutual kinks - ones Steve can’t find with other lovers—but there’s something else about the emotionally detached, beautiful man that calls to him.

Billionaire Allistair stays alone in his luxury penthouse apartment at the top of Dark Fantasy, terrified of the real world and of opening himself up to genuine emotions. He takes lover after lover, all of them allowing him to do whatever he wants to their bodies, in the hopes that they can scam something from him.

One night is all he ever shares with a plaything—he knows they only want the money and luxury he can offer them and nothing more. But the down to earth Steve is different. They share the same kinks and are explosive when together. But could the muscled law officer ever want more than the lust-filled encounters that have become such an addiction?

As they grow closer, they discover they also have to find a balance between Steve’s everyday world and Allistair’s entitled world before they can truly find an ever after. They also have to make sure Allistair stays safe. Filthy rich playboys are too tempting to those who seek the ultimate payday—and who aren’t afraid of hurting someone to get it.

Reader Advisory: This book contains scenes of BDSM and fetishism.

Exclusive Excerpt

The moment Steve spotted Allistair gingerly easing his way into Big Jim’s BBQ, he wondered if maybe he’d pushed the casino owner too far outside of his realm of comfort. At the same time, while he loved the luxurious, private retreat they’d shared, he needed everyday life too. Needed balance. He considered the possibility that maybe that was why Allistair was so bored. Nothing was special anymore.

The moment their eyes connected, Allistair brightened, his features relaxing, seeming to release some of his obvious anxiety. Then Steve noticed one of Allistair’s henchmen right behind him. He tried not to frown, attempted to push down his annoyance. Then it dawned on him all that Allistair had shared with him regarding his need for protection. Kidnapping threats, people trying to latch onto him for one reason or another.

His brother…

His heart swelled at the realization that coming to such a place must’ve been a huge effort for Allistair. His admiration for Allistair rose several notches along with the understanding that Allistair must care about him quite a bit to go to so much effort to please him.

When Allistair arrived at the table, he stood to give him a quick hug. Allistair was tense in his arms, but Steve didn’t take it personally. The way he kept darting his eyes around the room like a nervous cat made it clear that he was simply frightened by his surroundings. Allistair took a chair across from him.

There were booths on the edge of the large open area which was located next to the noisy bar, but it was a Saturday night and next to impossible to secure one. He’d been lucky to get in at all as quick as he had. Right after he’d hung up with Allistair, he’d called over and made a reservation at the ranch themed eatery.

Allistair clasped his hands on the table, sitting ramrod straight. He leaned closer, undoubtedly to be heard over the raucous crowd. “Can’t they afford someone to sweep up the floor?”

Steve glanced down then snorted laughter before looking up again. “Please tell me you’re joking.”

Allistair regarded him with a twinkle in his eye. “I may have eaten at one or two establishments in my lifetime featuring sawdust on the floors.”

Steve reached under the table then squeezed Allistair’s knee. “Maybe you’ll only want sawdust floors from now on.”

“Anything’s possible. Unlikely, but possible. Anyway—who cares about floors when I have such a lovely dinner companion?”

Allistair batted his eyelashes as he was wont to do and Steve grinned.

Such a beautiful, beautiful man.

5. Allistair believes that Steve’s the man who can truly understand him.
