On the eve of the impending war between Heaven and Hell, the demon Kinzer and his mortal ally Maggie hunt for a powerful weapon that could destroy all of humanity. Devastated by the loss of his greatest love, Kinzer doesn't believe he'll ever find happiness again. But when he meets the immortal Hayde, he discovers all hope might not be lost after all.

The angel Treycore's ex-girlfriend abducted his lover Kid and dragged him to the bowels of Hell. Now, Treycore searches for an entry into the immortal realm. But only one creature can assist him on his quest: Eilee, the most beautiful of the angels and another of Treycore's previous lovers. After the war between Heaven and Hell, Eilee lost her mind and went on a murderous rampage. With her guidance, Treycore descends into Hell and battles God's earliest creations as they journey to save Kid from the sadistic clutches of his villainous ex.

Macky’s Review

OMG! I love, love, LOVE this series. The sort of HUGE cock, no lube, irreverent love that actually makes my heart do a bit of a pitter pat just thinking about starting each new episode in this epic, back to front saga of Good V Evil. Why? Because I think Devon McCormack is a wicked, genius storyteller and because each time I've dipped into his totally fucked up world of Higherlings and fallen Angels, warring because of a stupid lovers spat between The Almighty and Satan, I've come away thinking, "THIS is why I read and THIS is what I read for!"

Both books in the series have excited and thrilled me in ways I remember experiencing when I first discovered the joys and magic of books as a kid. I always leant more to the fantastical and outlandish than 'real life' and loved the feeling of visiting out of this world places where I could be out of this world too. Imagination is an amazing tool and for me books are the best place to exercise it. Engaging every emotion when you totally connect, and ultimately escaping the mundanity of everyday life for a few precious hours.

Through books I've got to fly, do magic, fight epic battles, travel to the stars, go to countries I'll probably never have the chance to visit and been swept of my feet by the sort of guys I'd normally only ever get to drool over in my dreams. The list is endless. Now with Devon, I get to join the battle to save humanity whilst wielding a dong the size and width of a python on steroids... and all without a single drop of the slippy stuff! How cool is that?!? Hahaha...

But seriously, even though this might not be everyone's cup of tea (for reasons I'm now sure most people will have concluded) it's become one of my most favourite reads in this genre since I first discovered it. Taking away the controversial religious aspect, over the top sexual shenanigans and larger than life physical attributes of its protagonists; for me, this vibrant, visual, gripping, edge of the seat, inventive journey into contemporary urban fantasy is just a great pacy, action-adventure tale that ticks all my boxes and then some!

Dark, exciting, gory, innovative, violent and at times shocking in more ways than one, there’s a slightly different feel to this instalment. It’s still over the top, sometimes caricaturish in its full on, graphic, pull no punches portrayal of these supernatural, kick ass beings; and butt clenching in it's hellfire hot sexual encounters, that have you wincing and pondering the dynamics of how humongous instrument A can slot in much smaller orifice B without causing major internal damage and a trip to emergency! But this time, even though the relationships and love stories are still a major aspect of the books driving force, there’s also a strong focus on what’s brewing in the background. The action is hotting up and it’s gripping stuff.

Once again nothing is what it seems, not everybody is who you think they are and the word preconception doesn't get a look in, because you just can't have any in this! You think you know how the tide is turning and which direction it's moving, but oooh noooo. Mr McCormack laughs in the face of assumption and gives it the finger. Talk about being kept on the edge of your seat!!!!

Separated for most of the book, each character gets his/her own alternating chapter, or slightly longer section, each ending in its own little WTF! cliffhanger. Leaving you waiting anxiously to see how they survive their crises; eagerly anticipating what comes next! It's unputdownable, sneaky storytelling at its best that keeps you totally enthralled. Clever Devon!

Bound follows on pretty much where Clipped left off—give or take a few months or so—and without going into realms of blah, blah blurby stuff; each one of our intrepid anti heroes ends up once again going through a fuck load of hell–literally in some cases *shivers*—as the ├╝ber bad guys continue their nasty ass plot to bring the apocalypse down on the human world. Treycore, Kinzer, Maggie and Kid all have personal demons to face up to in this, of both the solid (Grrrr...VERA!!!) and mental kind, and emotionally there were moments that got me in the gut to the point where I felt really moved. Then a new character Hayde, another breed of lesser Angel or 'Flit', is brought into the mix and the book turns yet another corner, taking on even more dimension, direction and depth.  I could wax on forever about him and Kinzer, but all I'm going to say is I LOVED Hayde, and THEN  that OMG!!! ending again! Damn! I need book three...like yesterday!

Though mortals have been convinced that God cares about their souls, nothing could be further from the truth. He created the world as a gift for his lover, Satan. But when Satan left him, he decided to end what he saw as his most grotesque creation.
Satan and his army of demons are man's only hope...
The demon Kinzer and his lover, Janka, have been sent by Satan to spy on The Raze, a gang of rogue demons who are working with God to bring about Armageddon. When someone exposes their true allegiances, The Raze clips Kinzer's wings and murders Janka. Kinzer manages to escape. He tracks down Satan's allies to warn them about a mole in their midst when he learns that they've located the Antichrist--a powerful weapon that could prevent the apocalypse. Now, he's on a mission to protect the Antichrist and avenge his lover's death.

Connect With Devon

11138153_1593415330904492_829124014577912187_nDevon McCormack spends most of his time hiding in his lair, adventuring in paranormal worlds with his island of misfit characters. A good ole Southern boy, McCormack grew up in the Georgian suburbs with his two younger brothers and an older sister. At a very young age, he spun tales the old fashioned way, lying to anyone and everyone he encountered. He claimed he was an orphan. He claimed to be a king from another planet. He claimed to have supernatural powers. He has since harnessed this penchant for tall tales by crafting whole worlds where he can live out whatever fantasy he chooses.

A gay man himself, McCormack focuses on gay male characters, adding to the immense body of literature that chooses to represent and advocate gay men's presence in media. His body of work ranges from erotica to young adult, so readers should check the synopses of his books before purchasing so that they know what they're getting into.

  2. OH MY GOD!!! I got this series called ANGELIC HELLFIRE (I'm just a fanfic writer so I'm not a real writer) and now I see all these lovely Heaven/Hell books pop up. I would LOVE to read this series but truth is I have a HUGE TBR list, both Kindle and paperbacks and mass market hardcover books. Will definitely do it!
