Synopsis

If there's one thing William Sullivan knows less about than how to run a business, it’s flowers. When Will is left carrying responsibility for the flower shop he’d leased for his cheating ex-boyfriend, he is sure it will lead him into financial ruin.
Just when he’s about to abandon all hope, in walks Milo Hart—young, overflowing with energy, and perhaps best of all, a genius when it comes to flowers. Will hires him on the spot and they begin a working partnership that might be Will’s only saving grace. The more time they spend together, the more Will’s feelings for Milo evolve and Will must choose between keeping things strictly business, or taking a chance to let love bloom.

“Welcome to the gayborhood! In the cozy town of Heartsville, the streets are lined with trees, the shops are full of friendly faces, and happily ever after is just around the corner. Come get to know the boys next door – naughty, nice, and everything in between.”

Bloom Box by Cate Ashwood is the fifth and final book in a five part contemporary MM romance series which is a collaborative effort by five authors. Each novella is written by a different author and features a different couple. The authors involved in this project introduce us to Heartsville, a town with a thriving LGBT community. As the series progresses we will get to meet some of Heartsville’s inhabitants and business owners. While each book can certainly be read as a stand-alone, I highly recommend reading the series in sequential order as there is some overlapping when it comes to the characters of this loveable town. Welcome to Heartsville’s gayborhood!

William Sullivan leased a space in downtown Heartsville for his boyfriend to set up a flower shop. Too bad said boyfriend turned out to be a two-timing ass-wipe! Now, Will is left with the empty space and a few supplies that have been ordered and he has no idea where to go from here. He knows absolutely nothing about flowers or running a flower shop. Enter Milo Hart, a twenty-one year old college student looking for a job. Once Milo indicates that he has experience with flowers, Will hires him on the spot. Milo proves to be indispensable and essentially helps Will get the flower shop ready for its big grand opening. Perhaps Will won’t head down the path of financial ruin after all.

As Will spends more and more time with his employee, he can’t help the feelings that start to blossom for the young man. And, it seems that Milo is returning those feelings. Can Will take a chance on Milo and take their relationship beyond one of employer/employee? Is it a risk that he is willing to take especially after having been burned in the past?

This was yet another wonderful novella in this series. There was something just so endearing about both Will and Milo that had me rooting for them. I loved the fact that Milo was sure enough in who he was to go after what he wanted, right along with Will. Definitely a feel-good read that had me laughing out loud as much as it had me swooning.

All in all, Bloom Box is a fun, relatively angst-free tale that had me smiling from start to finish and left me happily sighing in romance lala land. It is one of those books that romance junkies like myself inhale as it is all about making your heart happy and leaves you all squishy inside. I highly recommend this entire series to all MM romance lovers!
