Thank you for inviting me to blog at Sinfully Addicted to All Male Romance, I always enjoy stopping here.

Part of the fun of being a writer is you can combine any types of people you want. Once you add in paranormal elements the selection of romantic couplings can be pretty much limitless. I always try to think of what would be not only hot and sexy, but romantic. Are two gorgeous lion shifters a good match for a sweet fae? In my world they are.

I enjoy stories about three people falling in love. Why? I have no idea. Maybe it’s because if relationships between two people is sometimes hard, three people are even more of a real challenge. Finding the balance between a trio makes for an exciting read.

The power dynamic between couples is always a careful thing. Is one person too demanding or is the other too giving? Sometimes three can be a good thing instead of a crowd. In Coming in Third I have two alpha males and a more submissive fae prince. I like the idea that the two have to work together to not overpower their mate. Their mate Niall is a gentle person but has a strong will and enough backbone to stand up for what he wants. Being submissive doesn’t mean doormat and Niall is a good example of a strong man who needs even stronger mates.

The themes of good versus evil and love conquers all are powerful. I like the bad guy to always get what he or she deserves, and the weakest in the group to prove their strength. Whenever I read a story where the author lets the bad guy off the hook I always have a sense of let down. Sure in real life that probably happens more often than not but I don’t read for reality, I read for joy. And in my rich fantasy life good always conquers evil and love wins the day. Which is why I’m a writer and not a lawyer or someone who has to face reality.

I hope you enjoy my short story Coming in Third as part of the Unconventional San Diego anthology below I’ve included a short excerpt.

‘Fate’s Bridge’ by Carol Lynne

Is it possible for a soul to be reborn inside another?

What would you do if you discovered someone harboring a soul you recognized as one from a deceased loved one? For vampire Roman Gschwind, the scenario becomes a reality when he meets Bodi Rain.

'Coming in Third' by Amber Kell

Love sometimes comes in threes.

Jovan and Luka have been searching for their third for years. When Niall stumbles into the bar, their shifter instincts tell them the innocent fae could be their long sought mate. After a sensual night together, they’re certain the beautiful man was fated to be theirs.

‘The Unicorn Said Yes' by TA Chase

When an innocent human virgin meets the king of the unicorn herd, it’s not just legends that come true.

As the unicorn king and the virgin begin to fall in love, there are darker forces working behind the scenes to take advantage of the unicorn legends for their own evil purpose. Neither Ivan nor Carney are safe alone, but together, they just might be strong enough to keep Ivan alive.

'Blood on the Moon' by Jambrea Jo Jones

Be careful what you wish for, especially when you’re a witch.

Can a witch and an incubus solve the mystery before one of them dies? The blood on the moon wasn’t the only thing they had to worry about. Meddling family, close calls with death and a missing witch are enough to keep anyone busy, but can Kishar and Montague still find time for love?

'A Silver of Sunset' by Devon Rhodes

From one-night stand to nurse and patient—is it crazy to expect more?

Dominic can’t believe his luck when bravely striking up a conversation with the hottest guy he’s ever seen leads to the best sex he’s ever had. When he wakes up—no surprise—Angelo is gone. A week later, he’s shocked when he walks in to meet a new oncology patient to find Angelo fighting for his life and dependent upon his care.

Will their timing ever improve, or will Angelo’s time run out before they get a chance?

Excerpt from Coming in Third

A pair of men sitting at a booth in the corner caught his eye, but when they looked at him, he glanced away. They were big, buff and oozed dominance. He could tell they’d be too much for him. Niall got hard as he imagined the two larger men wrestling it out in bed over who would top him first. Shaking his head, he tried to clear the tempting image from his mind.

He needed something different. A couple he could brush away the next morning and that didn’t leave him longing for them later.

Taking another drink of his beer, he froze when a slim-fingered hand slid down his back before settling around his waist. “Looking for some companionship, honey? I’m Angelo. My friends call me Angel.”

Angel had kind blue eyes, a sweet smile and smelled of the sea. Too bad Niall needed something different tonight.

“No thank you.”

Angel frowned. “Are you here with someone?”

Niall offered him an apologetic smile. “No, but I’m looking to hook up with a couple tonight. If I wasn’t, I’d take you up on your offer.”

Did people still use the term ‘hook up’? He’d read that in a book once.

“Really? You’d be interested in me?” The surprise in the Angel’s eyes twisted Niall inside out. The handsome man shouldn’t have any doubt of his appeal.

Standing on his tiptoes, Niall gave the kind man a soft kiss on his lips. “Yes.”

A smile of surprisingly white teeth was his reward before a serious expression crossed Angel’s face. “You need to be careful. A lot of men would take advantage of a sweet thing like you.”

Niall didn’t bother with his usual spiel. The guy didn’t need to know Niall had enough magic to bring anyone to his knees, except his mother. Even two strong alphas couldn’t crush him if he didn’t let them.

“Do you know any couples here who might welcome a third?”

Angel gave him a sideways hug. “Let’s take a look at who’s here tonight, shall we? I just got here a few minutes ago. How about those two?” He pointed a finger at the two big men Niall had spied earlier.

Niall shook his head. “They look like they could chew me up and spit me out.”

Angel laughed. “Nah, they’re pussycats. Come on, sweetheart. Let’s get you your ménage then maybe you can owe me a date later.”
