Today we’re very lucky to be interviewing Skye Jones author of Claimed by Desire.
Hi Skye, thank you for agreeing to this interview. Tell us a little about yourself, your background, and your current book?
Thanks for having me, I am a fairly newly published author in the romance genre, although I have been writing for years. I write paranormal and contemporary M/M, M/F, and M/M/F romance.
Claimed by Desire is book two in the Wild Hunters series but can be read as a standalone.
Give us an interesting fun fact or a few about your book or series?
It features wolf shifters, who are also bounty hunters. They have a different dynamic to a lot of shifter stories, including others I have written. These shifters don’t live in big packs, and they are very much part of our world, only hidden from us. One person told me that they thought they read like a contemporary novel as much as a paranormal, and I think that is probably true.
How did you come up with the title of your book or series?
With great difficulty. I absolutely suck at titles!!
Give us an insight into your main character. What does he/she do that is so special?
Well, the main character in this book, Dylan lives on a farm. But he is just biding his time before he can exact his revenge. Then Aeron comes along and things get a lot more complicated.
What do you think makes a good story?
I think it varies greatly. There are a lot of stories I love for different reasons. I do tend to be a very character driven reader. So if I love a character, or set of characters, then I don’t care if the plot isn’t completely gripping. I would much rather read a basic plot with incredible characters I fall in love with than a densely plotted story with characters I don’t care about. Having said that, I do also like some definitely plot driven books, where character takes a back seat.
Some books I fall in love with purely for the writing. The Line of Beauty, by Alan Hollinghurst is one of those books that is so beautifully written it is worth reading for that and that alone.
What does your family think of your writing?
They don’t read my writing. I don’t tell my family and friends about my books or their titles etc. I’d rather not. I write pretty full on erotic romance and I’d not be able to do so if I knew my mother was going to sit down one day and read it. It would totally cramp my style lol.

“Turn around.” Dylan’s low voice echoed in the bathroom.
He did as instructed, skin goose bumping in the chill air. Thick fingers touched either side of his torso and gently pressed down into his lower back. “Does it hurt?”
He shook his head.
“Turn back around.”
He faced the front and watched as Dylan moved large hands over his torso, gentle but firm. He pressed a little more on the right hand side. “What about here? Hurt at all?”
“No.” He exhaled a shaky breath. No matter how much he told his dick not to take interest in the proceedings, he became more and more aroused at every touch.
Then Dylan did something so strange it snapped him out of his fog of desire. The man leaned in towards Aeron and sniffed him.
“Jesus.” Aeron took a step back, butting up against the sink behind him. “Did you just smell me?”
