Synopsis

Harper Brooks refuses to be anybody except who he is, and who he is shocks most people. When he meets a gorgeous man at a sidewalk cafe, he has no problem telling him exactly what he wants - in vivid detail. When Memphis rejects him, Harper hides his hurt behind flippant words and a flash of indignation, but forgetting the man might prove impossible. Memphis doesn't know what to think when he's propositioned by an imp with dreamy blue eyes and an ass to die for. He doesn't do relationships - ever - and one night spent in the gorgeous man's bed isn't enough. Memphis wants more. He just knows he can't have it. Nights of passion could lead to the sexy little diva dying at the hands of Memphis's beast. When Harper gets kidnapped by a madman, Memphis runs to the rescue, and in doing so reveals his darkest secret. But there is a lot more going on than either of them know, especially when the bond between them creates more than either of them expected. ** A Siren Erotic Romance

Liza’s Quick Bite

Harper is adorable. There is no other word for the man.  We meet him as he is going into a panic when he breaks a nail - yes, a nail on his finger.  So cute.  When he dumps his bag on a cafĂ© table he is torn between fixing his nail and making a play for the delicious man who happens to snag the table at the same time.  Filing the nail wins out, but before Harper leaves he makes a sexy play for the gorgeous and highly confused hunk in front of him.  Memphis turns his proposition down, and Harper walks away.  Aww, I felt for the little guy.

But it's okay, this is a shifter book and yes Harper is Memphis's mate.  But Memphis doesn't know that.  He's a turned wolf - a werewolf and he doesn't know anything about being a shifter except that he is not allowed to bite anyone and he needs to lock him and his friends up in steel rooms every full moon.  He doesn't want to hurt anyone after all.  This is such a cute story.  The attraction between Harper and Memphis is off the charts, and Harper's mouth is amazing - or at least the things he says.  This book is funny, sexy and sweet all rolled into one and if you don't mind mpreg then definitely give this one a try.

Project X by Nephylim

Rating ~ 4 Stars

Synopsis

Morgan Bentley is a bastard. Always was and always will be.
At least that’s what Matthew Hopkins thinks. Unfortunately, Morgan is also a brilliant law student, and easily eclipses Matthew, academically and socially.
Matthew insists he hates Morgan. According to Matthew’s best friend, Cory, perhaps he doth protest a bit too much.
Cory has received the chance of a lifetime in the form of an internship with ITM—Information Technology and Medicine—the prestigious research company where Morgan’s father is the CEO. Too inquisitive for his own good, the naturally curious Cory stumbles on a deadly secret inside of ITM. What he has learned will tip the balance of everything, but for good or bad?
Just what is the mysterious Project X?
What is Morgan’s involvement?
Matthew has to sort fact from fiction, friend from foe, as his world is turned upside down and inside out, and nothing can be the way it was.

Mark’s Quick Bite

Nephylim has written an intriguing mystery-thriller combining it with a wonderful M/M romance. It is dark, moody but ends with a wonderful HEA, full of closure and reconciliation. Yes, I’m a sucker for those books that end with forgiveness, the scene with Morgan’s father begging him to forgive him did bring a tear to my eye I must admit. It never gets too schmaltzy as even though Morgan’s dad begs for his son’s forgiveness, Morgan still remains very distant and wary but is prepared to give his dad a chance. As for Morgan and Matthew? Well, no doubt those two really have skipped off into the sunset hand in hand and most definitely found their HEA for sure. As for Cory? Well, I guess he’ll still be at Matthew’s side whenever he is needed as Matthew would do for him. I would like to think that Cory will now be able to find someone that he could love and love him back as much as Morgan and Matthew do for each other.

And so is Love by Scarlet Blackwell

Rating ~ 5 Stars

Synopsis

For two years of his ten-year prison sentence, Dane Faulkner has been a man best left alone. When Bailey Lewis disturbs his solitude and becomes a target for the local bullies, Dane finds the best way to protect him is to stake his own claim. What happens when the pretence becomes something more?

Macky’s Quick Bite

A truly compelling love story from an author who knows how to put you through an emotional wringer; never failing to deliver books that take you out of the comfort zone of sweet romance and throw you into worlds, where people are flawed, but passion runs high. Prison stories are never sunshine and flowers, and this one pulls no punches in its violence and (off page) rape scenario's, so to be able to create such a wonderful love story amongst such a harsh environment is a testament to Scarlett Blackwell's writing skills. I couldn't put this down and fell hard for Dane and Bailey, who DO NOT get an easy ride in this book. Sexy and sensual, yet tender and poignant at the same time, I just loved this. Superb!

Let it Go by Mercy Celeste

Synopsis

When alcohol and fierce tempers land two cowboys from the rodeo circuit under house arrest, it may be time to Let It Go. Can hidden secrets and a common enemy hold the key to happiness or... will they destroy them both?
Creed was the main focus of Eli’s fierce temper. For ten years the two men left a trail of destruction in their wake, with rodeo, beer, and fists all they had in common. Until a judge had enough and sentenced them to house arrest—in the same house. They’d either learn to get along or they’d kill each other.
Trapped on Eli’s rundown Florida ranch, Creed discovers Eli’s secret, one that he shares. But he didn’t count on Eli learning all of his secrets, especially the one that would shatter their newfound truce.
Scarred to his bones, Eli avoided relationships like the plague. Yet something about the quiet Creed had always pushed his buttons. Falling in love with him was never part of Eli’s plan. When it happens he’s unprepared and out of his league.
When a shared enemy comes calling Eli can only think of keeping Creed safe. He never dreamed that their lives were linked or that Creed’s former life could destroy them both. Will love be enough to save them?
Previously published.
Warning:Story of abuse, mental, physical, as well as sexual. Scenes of extreme violence.

Monique’s Quick Bite

I absolutely loved this book and it is a great example of how truly talented Mercy Celeste is as a writer. I’m always drawn to lost and broken characters, so Creed was tugging at my heart strings straight away. Eli however, hides behind his anger, hatred and grief and initially comes across as an arrogant, selfless bastard… who in reality is just as damaged as Creed.

I loved watching the transformation in Eli from that of a man angry at the world to the carefree and fun loving character I came to love. And Creed, so afraid to show his emotions, eventually opens his heart to Eli. What these men went through was hard to watch, I’m not going to lie, it hurts! As boys they were abused, neglected and so frightened, and that fear stayed with them to adulthood, with the person responsible, still wielding that fear as a weapon of control… I tell you, my emotions reading this book were all over the place.

This is a dark read, counterbalanced by a heart-warming love story… a love that is so strong it can survive in the face of adversity. This is an intense and powerful read from Mercy Celeste and the sex scenes… oh my! She never fails to create an atmosphere of sizzling sexual tension… so erotic and extremely HOT!

A definite must read as far as I’m concerned!
