Synopsis

When the local authorities ask Kyle Juenger to hunt a shape-shifting Glyrinny spy, he can’t refuse. After all, he can use the reward to replace his paralyzed legs with cyberware, and maybe even to return to his home planet. Besides, he hates the morphs—those invasive, brain-eating monstrosities whose weapons cost him his legs.

Kyle’s best lead is the Scorpion, a mercenary ship armed to the teeth. Grimm, the Scorpion’s pilot and captain, fascinates Kyle. He’s everything Kyle lost with his legs, and he’s from the same home world. He’s also of the warrior caste—half priest, half savior. But Grimm’s been twisted by life as a merc, and Kyle’s stuck undercover as a criminal on the run.

That doesn’t stop Grimm from coming on to Kyle, or from insisting he’s more than the sum of his past and his useless legs. But Kyle has other concerns—like tracking a dangerous morph who could be wearing anyone’s face. And as if things weren’t complicated enough, Kyle can’t tell if Grimm is part of the solution . . . or part of the problem.

Macky’s Quick Bite

I love a good m/m Sci Fi read and what a trip this was! The world building was so vivid, I felt like I was watching a top quality space opera; its broken hero, tough ex soldier Kyle on a mission filled with intrigue, espionage, shape shifting double agents, bustling space ports and a renegade spaceship with a diverse motley crew. I was on the edge of my seat all the way through as red herrings and plot twists added to the excitement. Just when I thought I had it sussed, I was knocked sideways by a twist in the tail, I didn't see coming. Loved Kyle and Grimm: his adversary turned love interest (he sort of stole the show for me) so much, I didn't want this book to end but sadly it had to. Really good!

Synopsis

The Gathering is called. The spell is cast. There is no escaping the Midnight Matings. Milo's spent the majority of his life parading one man after another through his bedroom. He doesn't do relationships, and he definitely doesn't do commitment. While trying to escape the chaos of the gathering, the sweetest sound in the world catches his interest and threatens his playboy lifestyle. When Milo Gavari loses control and claims him in the middle of the ballroom, Lark thinks he's finally found his missing half. The hellhound has a body to die for, but Lark quickly realizes the total package is far from perfect. Milo's reputation for being cold and evasive isn't going to deter him, though. There's a sweet center to that rough exterior, and Lark intends to bring it to the surface. With his meddlesome aunts and Milo's overbearing father in the mix, finding his happy ending isn't going to be easy. But, the best things in life never are. ** A Siren Erotic Romance

Liza’s Quick Bite

Oh, I do love the Midnight Mating series so this weekend I indulged in this old favorite.  The premise for each book is the same - the Elders call everyone to a convention, spike their drink and give every person in the room, twenty four hours to find and claim a mate.  Totally funny and some of the pairings are hilarious.

This was one of the side splitting ones.  Milo is a hell hound.  He definitely doesn't want a mate, but for some reason Lark calls to him.  Lark is part siren so that is understandable, he's irresistible.  Their mating should be straightforward - after all Lark knows who Milo is - the man lives across the road from him.  But between Milo's father and Lark's aunts the two men don't have things easy.  Hades was adorable and this is an awesomely quick hot read that will leave you smiling.

Synopsis

Henry Cooley has good friends and a good life. He’s secure in his job and his relationship. He and Tom, the love of his life, are about to celebrate their twenty-first anniversary as a couple. Their son, CJ, is in his second year at Cal Arts. Henry's only problems are his growing dissatisfaction with his job and the fact that Tom's parents still hate him, even after all these years. At least those are his only problems until the morning he wakes up to discover Tom has vanished.

Mark’s Quick Bite

OMG! This book blew my socks off when I read it. That’s why it now needs to be featured on a Quick Bite post for me. It’s a very rare thing when I book reduces me to tears, fear, panic, basically a whole gamut of emotions that I just feel the urge to persuade anyone and everyone to read it. Henry wakes up one morning to find his lover is gone, vanished. Is there foul play at work? From HEA to nightmare scenario this book shot my world to pieces. To think that this was all packed into 78 pages of pure, unadulterated, literary emotion is absolutely incredible! All I can say is READ THIS BOOK! I beg you. If you have nothing else planned for two hours then sit down undisturbed, take the phone off the hook, tissues at hand or at best a glass of wine and some comfort chocolate, buckle up and be prepared to be taken on an emotional ride that will stay with you for a long time.

Synopsis

Callum hasn’t time to take on a new sub for training. He has his BDSM club, Pure, to remodel and open on Friday. He certainly doesn’t have the time to train Lee in all the nuances of submission, even if Lee seems to be a natural.
But someone else wants him. Another Master who has no limits and doesn’t believe in safe words.
If Callum doesn’t wake up and accept the gift of Lee’s submission, someone else will take it – forcefully.

Monique’s Quick Bite

Sometimes you pick up a book to read and it’s exactly what you need at the time, and for me, Victoria Sue totally delivered with Pure: Super HOT, light BDSM kink delivered in an easy and enjoyable writing style, with likeable characters that get under your skin. What more could you ask for?

I Loved Callum… all alpha male Dom and growly but balanced with a gentleness to him that was perfect for the skittish, cute and oh so adorable twink and wannabe sub Lee. When Callum rescues Lee from an unsafe scene at the club he’s in the process of buying, he knows immediately he’s screwed… the boy called to all his natural instincts to protect, care and nurture and Lee without doubt has all the potential to make an ideal submissive. But for Callum with his life so wrapped up in his businesses, he tries and yes, inevitably fails to distance himself knowing he’s an absolute goner and the boy had him hook line and sinker.

Pure is a great read with a little angst, great side characters that I am looking forward to being elaborated on in future books, and an underlying thread running through which added a little danger and excitement. Yep, definitely a recommended read.
