A Word from Christine D’Abo

Thank you for having me here today! Let me introduce myself. I’m Christine d’Abo and I’m an author and lover of erotic romance. I’ve been writing seriously for ten years and have been published for the last eight of those. I love video games, superheroes, and anything that will mess with your mind. I’m also a secret ninja, but I’m unable to discuss those matters. Shhh…

I’ve never pretended to know all there is about kink. That means when I’m writing a book, I get to crank up the old research machine to make sure I don’t screw too many things up. This has led to some…interesting discoveries. I’ve found several videos that have helped me get a handle on techniques, toys and the best places to play on the body.

I thought it would be fun to show you some of the videos that I’ve used in the past. This is by no means an extensive list, and there might be other videos that go into greater detail. The Internet has a wealth of information, sometimes too much. These videos at least give you a place to start.

Now, on to the fun!

Dommi Dollz – They have a great Intro to Kink series that walks you through some of the basics. Here are three videos that I’ve watched and learned from: Flogging, Face Slapping, and Breath Play.

Real Life Kink also has an excellent series of videos. Here’s a great one on where it is okay to flog. I also liked is video on the quality of toys to use (he’s speaking softly, be warned).

I hope you learned something from these videos. If you have a video you’d like to share with me, please post it in the comments below.

Synopsis

Simon is jaded. His bookstore is failing, his personal life is nonexistent, and he’s tired of the local scene. He’s desperate for a change, and hopes to find it at Escape, the hot new BDSM club in town.

What he finds there is Gavin. One look at the sexy submissive is all he needs to know that his trip to Escape was the right decision. And their night of no-holds-barred kinky sex feels like only the beginning . . . until his promising new sub vanishes with the dawn.

Then Gavin walks through the door of Simon’s bookstore—for business, not pleasure. To both of their surprise, he’s the consultant Simon hired to help save the store. As they work together, Simon realizes that he might have another shot at happiness, if only he can convince Gavin that he’s worth sticking around for.

  1. I love the synopsis, definitely adding this book to my TBR list... But I'm not sure I'm ready to see the videos, I think I prefer to make my own image based on the author's words and extensive research ;-)

I could not read this post without entering the giveaway as it associates my 2 weaknesses: books (especially BDSM and M/M ones) and tea! Thanks for the chance.
