Hi! Thank you so much to Sinfully Addicted to All Male Romance for inviting me to chat a little about my new book, He's Just Knot That Into You. I had a lot of fun writing this fluffy werewolf novella and am excited for you to meet Tanner and Jon. =) Right now I'm touring the web to talk about the book, how it came about, my processes—and anything else that comes to mind, to be honest. Of course, a blog tour wouldn't be complete without a giveaway, so please check out those details at the end of the post!
This visit seemed like a good place to introduce you guys to Tanner, the main character in HJKTIY. I happened to unearth this snippet of a conversation I had with him when we sat down for coffee (tea for me!) shortly after he started his new job.
NJ: Tanner, how are you liking Chicago?
Tanner (looking around, distracted): The city's great. Job's great. Coworkers are great.
NJ: So, everything's great? Nothing's awesome or terrible?
Tanner (focusing again): Yeah, pretty much. Actually, you're right. It's not just great—it's amazing.
NJ: Oh reeeeeally? You know, as your pack's official chronicler, you should probably let me in on what's so amazing…
Tanner (*raises brow*): "Official chronicler," huh? Is that what they're calling you?
NJ: Well, you know…official chronicler…writer of your pack's story…same difference.
Tanner: Ha. Okay, I'll tell you. But only because you've spent some time here and you might be able to help me.
NJ: Now I'm the one with questions. Help you with what?
Tanner (*clears throat*): I had my First Shift last week.
NJ: *screeching* What??
Tanner (*grins*): Yeah. Yep. First Shift five days ago, and the clock's ticking.
NJ: Holy shit is the clock ticking!
Tanner: Mother above, you're telling me! It's not looking too good so far. I haven't had any luck with the first date—I mean, appointment—I made.
NJ: Do you know anything?? Any leads??
Tanner: Welllll, I'm almost positive it's someone I work with. And that it's a guy. But that's about it. I met so many damned people when I started this new job I can't narrow it down any farther than that.
NJ: Wow, it sounds like quite a project.
Tanner: It is! And with so many possibilities, it's looking rather daunting. Thankfully, Jon's around to help me plan stuff.
NJ: Uh huh. Thankfully.
Tanner: Yeah, for a kid who just moved to the city last year, he has some good ideas, too. At least the restaurant I went to yesterday worked out well.
NJ: *chuckles* Well, I hope he continues to lend a hand when you need it.
Tanner: He'd better. *glances at watch* Actually, speaking of work, I'd better get back to the office. Catch you later?
NJ: Definitely. And you have to let me know how everything goes with your search.
If you want to keep posted on Tanner's search—and if you want to find out just what kind of hand Jon lends to Tanner—check it out in He's Just Knot That Into You! *cheeky wink*

When Tanner moves to Chicago for a new job, he experiences his First Shift, a revelation that signifies he’s met his mate since the last full moon. The only problem? He doesn't know who it is. To find his mate, he enlists his new assistant Jon to arrange a series of dates, but each one turns out more disastrous than the last.
With the next full moon quickly approaching, Tanner finally determines the identity of his true mate. Unfortunately, Jon has since disappeared, and Tanner must now begin a new search. Is it really Jon’s family crisis pulling him away, or is Jon just not that into him?
I’m a southern girl and like my tea like syrup, but if this story was a glass of sweet tea, even I wouldn’t be able to drink it. If you are looking for a quick, fluffy, make your heart melt read then check this one out. I love the twist the author put on the whole werewolf mythos and fated mates theme. Werewolves can’t have their first shift until they find their mate. Unfortunately, fate is a bitch and it only lets you know your mate is somewhere close by…not exactly who it is. And you have till the next full moon to find them. There isn’t a lot of world building but enough to support the love story.
It is obvious to the reader who Tanner’s mate is and the fun comes from watching him try to figure it out. Both characters are lovable as they fumble to the inevitable knotting. Yeah, you’ll have to read it to find out what that is about. The story might be sweet but there are two steamy scenes...including one with mash potatoes and a pillow. This something I’ve never read or heard of before and props to the author for coming (see what I did there) up with it.
Well written, romantic, silly, and worth a read.
