Synopsis

The effects of an attack on SIN, a twenty-nine year old University lecturer, reach out further into his future than SIN could ever imagine. In a story, which seems doomed to start with an end, SIN learns about the forever kind of love, and how family is not just biological. ‘Soul-Mate for SIN’ shows how twists of fate can take a loving, but ordinary family, from a small market town in Lincolnshire, England and turn them into something extraordinary.

Meet Charlie

Hello, can you tell us your name and where you work?

Hello. My name is Charlie and I’m an Educational Psychologist (well assistant) and I work as a counsellor at the local boys’ school.

Can you describe yourself for the readers?

Really? Well I’m tall and lanky, I hate being so tall for various reasons I shan’t go into or Izzy van Swelm will get upset with me lol. I have thick, wavy, very black hair and I’m kind of pale I suppose. I like my hair, but not much else. I’m very confident when dealing with the young people I talk to but I’m not very confident as a person… because I’m tall everyone assumes I am assertive etc., but …Is that enough?

Yes, that’s fine. How do you know SIN?

Well that’s a funny story actually and then…well it got pretty un-funny. In fact it was downright painful…um I can’t tell you though…Izzy said we can’t drop too many spoilers. We are very good friends though and…that’s all I can say really.

I’ve had several of the others mention a club called The Rainbow Lounge…do you go there as well?

Oh yes! I love the Rainbow. Compere Miss Clitty Sparkles is hysterically funny, pretty damn scary though, and there are good acts too in fact…oops. Sorry…it’s so hard to not give things away. It’s a really good club though you should come one day.

Thanks, but I may just have to read about it in Soul Mate for SIN… I don’t live in the UK. Apart from going to the Rainbow what else do you like to do for fun?

Oh that’s a shame. I love to shop, shop and more shopping… I really love shoes and sparkly…oops sorry can’t say that until after the sequel LOL. I love reading and I love watching certain shows on telly…like ‘The Great British Bake Off’ and ‘Strictly Come Dancing’… I think they call it ‘Dancing with the Stars’ in the US, and Sherlock. I don’t know if you have those shows where you are? I love Benedict Cumberbatch.

I don’t know the first one but we have the others and yes, Benedict Cumberbatch is…anyway, why should people read Soul Mate for Sin?

Well it’s about real people finding love. I’m convinced they are soul mates. The characters are so lovely (well I suppose I would say that lol). There are funny bits and a few difficult bits for some people but nothing too…you know unbelievable…a few sexy bits I’m told ;) and a definite happy ending…in fact two J

Intriguing. Thank you for talking to us today, Charlie.

No problem anything for Izzy.

Meet Izzy Van Swelm

Izzy van Swelm is English, but took her Mother in Law’s maiden name as a pen name. Izzy dreams of a world where all sentient species have rights and respect. A world where LGBTQ lovers and friends, old and young, can walk holding hands meeting nothing more than the occasional affectionate eye roll. A world where intelligence, gentleness and compassion are the overwhelming attributes of politicians, and religion is practiced by those who believe, but never forced on those who do not.

Izzy is a romantic, a dreamer, a vegetarian and just a little eccentric. Izzy writes because she loves to tell stories, and she hopes that her stories will bring happiness, enjoyment and maybe to some…a little hope.
