Yet Kale seems to calm his beast at the same time as exciting the man in him.
Neither men expected nor wanted a relationship with strings, but as they grow closer Aleksi realizes that Kale might just be his mate. With the obsessed fan escalating to murder, Aleksi isn’t sure even his tiger can keep his mate safe.

Liza’s Review

Have you ever read one of those books where you come to the end and then you wish you hadn’t read it, so you could go back and read it all over again? This is one of those books. Gorgeous model, built bodyguard, and a crazed fan stalker and you’ve got the ingredients of an awesome story. Add in the fact that the bodyguard is a shifter and for me the story idea just got better and better. I am so totally thankful that the author delivered everything I had hoped for, and so much more.

Kale is a gorgeous model, used to attracting people with his looks. Not too many people appreciate that he is also talented and smart. When a fan steps from being rabid too crazy-dangerous by sending an animal eye-ball to Kale’s place of work, his brother Caleb decides to call in the Shifter Protection Specialists. As soon as Aleksi walks into the room, Kale is hooked.

Kale always had a thing for muscles and this Aleksi was built like a Thor action figure, complete with golden locks. This was the man who was going to pretend to be his lover? Why was I reluctant to do this again?

For his part Aleksi thought that Kale would be a spoiled rich kid with a high sense of entitlement. He didn’t get close to people because his tiger was so huge (and rare) but Kale didn’t seem to have gotten the memo. Before long the action is heating up and so is the interaction between Kale and Aleksi. When Aleksi realizes that his possessive feelings and need to protect Kale go beyond the parameters of the job, he comes to the conclusion that Kale is his mate.

This wasn’t a ‘grab them and claim them’ type of story. Aleksi and Kale got to know each other a bit first, and I liked the way the author interspersed the action from the storyline, with the two men’s growing attraction. It had a very realistic feel to it, which is missing from a lot of shifter books. Caleb was a great secondary character and while I would have liked to know more about the stalker I can understand why the author didn’t dwell on him too much – he was totally crazy.

The love these two men came to share seemed like a precious gift that the author wanted to share with anyone who cares to read this. I was riveted by the story, the character interaction and everything about the book had me wanting to read more. While love among mates is expected, SA Welsh went beyond the bounds and wrote something truly worth reading.

"It was the beginning of us - like this. I wanted to remember the time when I decided to give you everything."

Just beautiful and to read more you will have to buy the book for yourself.
