Title: Forever Ink (Montgomery Ink, #1.5)
Author: Carrie Ann Ryan
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: November 11, 2014
Callie Masters loves ink. After finally getting her own chair in Montgomery Ink, she’s ready to start being a full time artist, rather than only an apprentice. When Austin, her former boss, gives her one very broody man as her first client, she jumps at the chance to make him hers—in and out of the shop.
Morgan McAllister is old money, old connections, and recently has been feeling just old. When he goes in to get his full back piece done after years of putting it off, the bright-eyed woman with the sly smile catches his eye. Between her age, attitude, and views on life, he knows she’s all wrong for him, but that doesn’t mean she’ll keep out of his thoughts.
When life throws them together after a few close calls, Morgan and Callie will have to trust in themselves and what their relationship will mean. Between conniving family members, blondes with too much time on their hands, and their own misgivings, trust in the bedroom and out of it won’t come easy.
4 “May-December” Stars!
***This is a review for Forever Ink (A Montgomery Ink novella) by Carrie Ann Ryan only. I did not read the two other novellas in this anthology entitled Hot Ink. The other two novellas in this anthology are Takedown by Cari Quinn and Bound Memories by Sydney Bristol.
In Forever Ink we get to find out what happens when the feisty and sassy tattoo apprentice, Callie Masters, meets her match with a broody and utterly gorgeous lawyer, Morgan McAllister. Can they find their way to a happy forever with so many obstacles in their path?
Twenty-five year old Callie is an extremely talented tattoo apprentice working under Austin Montgomery at Montgomery Ink. When Austin approaches her and indicates that he believes she is ready to start tattooing on her own and work her own station and that he has a big project lined up for her, Callie is beyond excited. She will finally have her chance to showcase her talent doing a job that she absolutely adores. Callie is assigned the task of giving one of Austin’s friends his very first tattoo. When the suited up hunky lawyer walks into the tattoo shop, Callie wants to do more than tattoo him despite his cold demeanor towards her at first.
Forty year old Morgan is definitely attracted to the little spit-fire who is in charge of his first tattoo but he knows he should stay away from her. He’d love to get his hands on her and explore; however, there is too much of an age gap between them. Morgan is unable to keep things platonic between them for long and soon enough the pair are spending time together outside of the tattoo shop. There is no denying the sizzling hot chemistry between them and the way Callie simply melts in his arms. It is as if she were made for him.
Can Callie and Morgan make it work and beat the odds? With a fifteen year age gap, Austin’s meddling bitch of a mother and the fact that they come from two different worlds, will they be able to push past the barriers and hold on to a happy forever?
All in all, Forever Ink was a very enjoyable novella that took be back to Ms. Ryan’s Montgomery Ink world which is a world that I very much like visiting. This was a sweet love story with a whole lot of
kinky sexy thrown in. Callie and Morgan may have had a few bumps in the road as they figured things out between them; however, what they found in one another was too profound to ignore and walk away from. Nothing good ever comes easy. Right?
“Fuck what anyone says because you’re my forever, Callie.”

New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author Carrie Ann Ryan never thought she’d be a writer. Not really. No, she loved math and science and even went on to graduate school in chemistry. Yes, she read as a kid and devoured teen fiction and Harry Potter, but it wasn’t until someone handed her a romance book in her late teens that she realized that there was something out there just for her. When another author suggested she use the voices in her head for good and not evil, The Redwood Pack and all her other stories were born.
Carrie Ann is a bestselling author of over twenty novels and novellas and has so much more on her mind (and on her spreadsheets *grins*) that she isn’t planning on giving up her dream anytime soon.
