Synopsis

Read chapters 1 & 2 from the author's website: (PDF)
For fifteen years Luke Moore has lived by three rules: stay off his father's radar, never spend more than a single night with any man, and never fall in love again. But one night of explosive sex and two men whom he can't get out of his head have Luke breaking them all. Richard and Matthew push him past all his boundaries--both sexually and personally--and now he's no longer hiding from his senator father; he's taking him on. And he isn't just falling for one man; he's falling for two. If you're going to break the rules, might as well break them big.

But Luke's father has his reasons for hating how his son lives, and he'll do whatever he can and use all his power to keep Luke away from Richard and Matthew.

Can this threesome find a way to make their unconventional relationship last with the world around them trying to pull them apart? And will Luke be able to keep breaking his rules for Richard and Matthew, or will he head back to his familiar way of life just when his new lovers want to bind him tighter?

Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: Male/male sexual practices, menage (m/m/m).

Macky’s Quick Bite

Going threesome again this week (my fave) with my quick bite choice, and be warned, it's a hot one! I heart this story a lot, granted it does pretty much ooze sex scenes and they're all ménage, so if you're not a multiples fan or prefer less sex, then this might not be for you, but if you're like me and love scorching three in a bed (or more) stories then I think you'll heart this one too. For me it works because of the loving relationship that evolves between the three main guys– Luke, Richard and Matthew. It starts out as lust filled attraction which over time morphs into deep affection and finally true love. The way they complement each other being the cement that holds them, and their different personalities, together. Luke starts the book a bit of a lost soul, running from his nasty father, the reasons why you'll find out if you read the book and he regularly seeks solace in meaningless sex at Haven, a sex club, where one night he meets Richard and Matthew. None of them knowing the others before that night. They indulge in a night of extremely hot passion, thinking it will only be a one off but there's a connection and chemistry there that they can't escape and that one night becomes a regular occurrence until they finally end up moving the relationship up a notch by moving in together.

Matthew, the youngest, brings a sweetness into the partnership with his huge capacity to give and receive love and Richard, more mature and protective, becomes the glue that holds them together and because of that connection they become a really solid unit. There's drama, bad guys who get their comeuppance in a very fulfilling way and a very satisfying ending. I've read this three times now and I'm never disappointed. Big ménage love!

Reaching the Edge by L.M. Summerton

17974326

Rating ~ 4 Stars

Synopsis

When you reach the edge, you can’t avoid taking a leap of faith.
Joe Dexter leads a complicated life. In one world he is a consultant criminal psychologist—in another he runs The Edge, a successful corporate training company. He’s also an active Dom in the London BDSM scene.
A social call to The Underground, a club owned by an old friend, turns into much more when Joe is introduced to a prospective sub. Falling hard for the boy’s tumbling blonde curls, huge blue eyes and desperate need for protection, Joe carefully coaxes him out of his shell. By the end of an intense weekend, unbreakable bonds have been forged and Joe is well on the way to becoming Olly’s Master.
Joe knows that there is trauma in Olly’s past, but it is not until his professional and private lives collide that Joe discovers the truth. He knows he shouldn’t have let Olly out of his sight but it’s too late—Olly’s old Master is back on the scene and he’s not in the mood to forgive and forget.
With Olly’s life on the line, Joe risks everything to save him. Has Joe found his perfect submissive only to lose him in a horrible twist of fate, or will love win the day? They’ve reached the edge and there’s no avoiding a leap of faith.
Reader Advisory: This book contains scenes of D/s, including chastity play, and references to past rape and current PTSD. There are also non-consensual plot elements with an aggressive former Master which include kidnapping, bondage and the forcible insertion of a butt plug.

Tina’s Quick Bite

Reaching the Edge is the first book of the Tales from the Edge series. We meet Dom Joe and submissive Olly, who was not only tortured but abandoned by his last master. He is hurt and doesn’t trust anyone. More than anything else though he wants a new master he can trust wholeheartedly. The Underground, an exclusive private club catering to London’s gay BDSM scene, seems to be the right place to search for the master of his dreams.

Dominant Joe, a psychologist and co-owner of The Edge, a corporate training company, is hot as hell… *drools*… holy moly, what a man! When he spots Olly for the very first time, he immediately wants to own the submissive young guy. The drama begins when Olly’s old cruel master shows up, he’s not done with poor Olly and Joe has to fight and to do everything in his power to protect the beautiful submissive. I loved bratty, mischief Olly instantly, he has been through so much misery but never has given up on his dreams, it was so good to watch him trust again.

The story is an easy, entertaining read with not too much angst. The BDSM is nicely done and the sex scenes are scorching hot. I’m looking forward to the next story in the series. Dominant Heath, Joe’s best friend, is an intriguing character, and I can’t wait to read more about him.

Unhinge The Universe by Aleksander Voinov & L.A. Witt

Rating ~ 5 Stars

Synopsis

Give me one fixed point and a long enough lever, and I'll unhinge the universe. — Archimedes
December 1944 – The Battle of the Bulge
SS Lieutenant Hagen Friedrichs is the sole survivor of a party sent to retrieve his brother—and the highly sensitive information he’s carrying—from behind enemy lines. But his daring rescue attempt fails, and Hagen becomes the prisoner.
Allied command has ordered Captain John Nicholls to extract critical intelligence from their new Nazi POW. His secrets could turn the tide of the war, but are they real? John is determined to find out . . . and to shatter the prisoner who killed his lover during the attack on their tiny base. The deeper he digs, though, the more he realizes that the soldier under the SS uniform is just like him: a scared, exhausted young man who’s lost loved ones and just wants to go home.
As captor and captive form an unexpected bond, the lines quickly blur between enemy, friend, and lover. And as horrifying rumors spread from the front lines and American soldiers turn their sights on the SS for vengeance, John may be Hagen’s only hope for survival.

Mark’s Quick Bite

This has to be one of the most enthralling reads I have read to date. Intriguing, well balanced, beautifully written and packed full of suspense.

We are dealing with WWII, which is not everyone's favourite period of history for obvious reasons. It could have been all too easy for any author to fall into the stereotypical, clichéd trap of allies (good guys) and Nazis (bad guys). This I'm relieved to say was not the case. Each point of view or side was well balanced, dealing authentically with the horrors of the war, but realising there was good and bad to be had on both sides! The characters are authentic and genuine. The emotions real and heart-breaking.

The book is well plotted with subtle criticism for both sides, diplomatically portrayed, thought provoking and well written by the authors with no blame. This for me gave the whole story a balanced and non-discriminatory feel without losing its character for that period. Also a wry and subtle sense of humour didn't totally escape my attention either, playing a little on stereotypes that both sides held.

All in all a superbly written novel, fascinating and emotional. That is why I have chosen this book as M/M Quick Bite this week. Go read it

With or Without Him by Barbara Elsborg

81qUN fUW3L._SL1500_

Rating ~ 4 Stars

Synopsis

"The most dangerous refuge could be his lover's arms. "
Everyone has at least one deep-seated fear. For Tyler, it's being in debt. He's so desperate to get out and stay out of it, he'll do almost anything-including selling his body at Saturday night sex parties.
But he refuses to open his mind to anyone, especially the men paying to use him however they want. The only time he's truly happy is during the week at college, when he can escape into his music.
The moment Haris sees Tyler playing piano at a concert, he falls hard, and he's willing to do whatever it takes to make the guy his. Even if it means-for the first time in his life-opening his wallet as wide and desperate as his heart.
20,000 to live with a good-looking guy for four months? How can Tyler resist the chance to ditch the sex party scene for good? But neither man realizes how much they're risking. And when outside forces close in, ready to destroy them, the trickiest part about the next four months could be just surviving.
Warning: Contains a "for hire" bad boy with a filthy mouth, an awkward guy with a penchant for BDSM, a hypochondriac butler who won't shut up, a dog called Alcide, and a lot of hot and dirty M/M sex

Monique’s Quick Bite

Months, or even years after reading some books, there are scene’s that always haunt you. With or Without Him is one of those books… I loved it! I was totally pulled in and engrossed right from the very first page where we meet Tyler on his way to his regular Saturday night sex party, where the only thing on the menu are the rent boys. It’s quite different to anything I have read, there is a mixture of delicious darkness with a raw edginess to it, yet at the same time it’s mainstream with a thriller/mystery aspect running through and a sprinkling of humour, which comes in the guise of Wilson the Butler, who quite frankly deserves a book of his own, the man and his hypochondria had my in hysterics.

Tyler and Haris are very complex characters with damaged souls, both vulnerable, detached from life and lonely… and Barbara Elsborg did an excellent job of endearing me these men, allowing me to see into their minds, to find out what makes them tick, and she definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat. There is an ominous feeling throughout, where the dark and depraved needs of wealthy men leave Tyler’s safety at constant risk and Haris’ past, full of intrigue is catching up with him. The information is drip fed, with both men’s secrets and lies intertwine, leaving you constantly questioning their actions and reasoning, it is not volunteered easily, to us as readers but also to each other, their pasts haunt them both and sharing their secrets is something neither of them finds easy… but when their pasts threaten their lives, hopes and desires, they need to learn to trust, which is something both men fear.

These men are insatiable, as in they just cannot keep their hands of each other and believe me when I tell you it is HOT!!! Lot’s of panty melting goodness in this book and very well written by Ms. Elsborg, I totally believed the passion between them which was so much more than just the sex… and the love they had for each other was quite profound and heart-breaking to watch because they had such issues with communication!

This is an excellent read and one that has stayed with me, so definitely highly recommended.
