911 by Chris Owen
Rating ~ 5 Stars
Drew is a fireman who loves the rush of his job, and is looking for a roommate to share costs. Scott is a doctor looking for somewhere to live that doesn't leave him rooming with his now ex-lover. The match seems more than perfect when Scott moves in with Drew. It's more than just costs that they share. They find it hard to resist getting to know each other in the most intimate way, and soon things are heating up enough to make even Drew wonder if they can handle the fire.
So what happens when along comes EMT Eric with his blond good looks and boyish smile? He seems like the perfect match for Drew and Scott, but just Eric moving in is not all they have to deal with. Between family strife and physical injuries, the three of them have to face problems that could tear them apart, and ruin more than just their life together, including their careers and their health. Will this twosome be able to become a threesome or does it spell disaster for all?
911 is full of everything you'd expect from this author; strongly drawn characters, vulnerable sometimes, but never weak, sizzling-hot sex and fascinating exploration of an unconventional, deeply loving relationship.

I absolutely love ménage stories and 911 was a really adorable one. Drew, Scott and Eric are all in the emergency services. One a fireman, one a doctor and one an EMT. All of them endearing guys in their own right. Their journey together is really enjoyable and the the way that they finally come together as a threesome is actually quite slow burn, so this is a ménage that forms over the course of the book quite slowly. There's no jumping each other's bones within minutes of the book starting. Which was a nice change. Friendship comes first between Drew and Scott who begin a romance, which morphs into a truly solid, loving partnership and later down the line they take Eric in as a third roommate and of course the inevitable happens. I suppose there might be some who question why such a committed couple would take in a third person but in this case it really works and I never really picked that side of it apart. The three of them form such a lovely bond that I found it very touching at times. The sex is hot and gets hotter as the relationship cements itself but there's a real sense of friendship and love in this ménage that sort of lifts it above just being a heap of sexual encounters with a thin storyline joining them together. There's some nicely placed angst because of course three guys together in a relationship will generate a fair bit but it never gets bogged down by it at all and I found myself really liking the three of them. One of my favorites multiple partnership, stories and just writing about it makes me want to pick it up,and start it all over again. If you don't mind more than two in a bed then I highly recommend this.

Dangerously Happy by Varian Krylov

Aidan has always played it safe. Instead of pursuing his dream of creating innovative music that makes his soul sing, he settled for a degree in software, a job in a cubicle, and a spot in a generic band with his buddies.
And he's always been straight. But when he's seduced by magnetic local literary luminary Dario, Aidan must decide whether to keep playing it safe, or succumb to a ravenous passion and a nourishing love unlike anything he's experienced before. Will he find the courage to go after real happiness if it means admitting he's in love with a man?
Their journey together isn't easy. Sometimes it isn't safe. Even if Aidan has the courage to admit he's in love with Dario, can he endure the repercussions of the traumatic event in Dario's past?
This novel has mature content and is intended for readers over the age of eighteen. Although this is a story about two men falling in love, there are extended, explicit sex scenes, including some BDSM, m/m/m and m/m/f scenes. There are references to sexual violence which may be a trigger for some readers, although there is no graphic depiction of rape in the book.
Tina’s Quick Bite
Dangerously Happy is about Aidan, a talented musician with a boring day-job, and sexy Dario, an author who hosts parties and musical gigs at his large loft apartment. One day one thing leads to another and the two men discover that there is more between them than sexual attraction.
The book is sexy, arousing, provocative, steamy, sensual, and hot! It’s filled with passion and one of the most beautiful love stories I have ever read and contains some of the most amazing sex scenes. The blurb seriously does not do it justice.
One of the side characters really intrigued me. I loved the powerful and dominant alpha male and I really hope the author will create a book on Xavier in the near future.
The writing is excellent and kept me captivated, wrapped up in the pictures it creates. This is so much more than just a love story, so much more than just sex and so much more than just another M/M romance. Highly recommended!

Limericks, lies, and puppy-dog eyes...
Jude Biggerstaff is all the way out and loving it - mostly. The Anglo-Japanese university graduate is a carnivore working in a vegan cafe, an amateur poet with only one man in his life. His dog, Bubbles.
Then there's "Karate Crumpet", a man who regularly runs past the cafe with a martial arts class. Jude can only yearn from afar, until the object of his affection rescues him from muggers. And he learns that not only does this calm, competent hunk of muscle have a name - David - but that he s gay.
Jude should have known the universe wouldn't simply let love fall into place. First, David has only one foot out of the closet. Then there's Jude's mother, who lies about her age to the point Jude could be mistaken for jailbait.
With a maze of stories to keep straight, a potential stepfather in the picture, ex-boyfriends who keep spoiling his dates with David, and a friend with a dangerous secret, Jude is beginning to wonder if his and David's lives will ever start to rhyme.
Warnings: Contains a tangled web of little white lies, a smorgasbord of cheesy limericks, a violin called Vanessa, some boots that mean business, and the most adorable little dog ever. Poetry, it's not...
Mark’s Quick Bite
Two complete opposites fall for each other. Actually, Jude and David couldn't be more further apart on the gay universe poles. Jude is young, camp, outrageous, effeminate, sassy, out and proud and doesn't care who knows. Your typical gay stereotype that fits all the media norms. David is a little older, more conservative, responsible, normal, straight male, karate instructor and only really halfway out of the closet.
The humour mainly comes from Jude with his quips and view on life. For him the whole world is gay and the acid humour that accompanies him is brilliant. So many laugh out loud moments, I could have highlighted the whole book! However, the humuor still very British in style. Also the supporting characters, Keisha and Jude's mum were also brilliant.
All in all a funny and hilarious book for light entertainment.

Monique’s Quick Bite
This book is an excellent love story, where even the most hardened heart and disillusioned soul can find the romantic streak hidden deep within and see it blossom into something neither thought possible. I fell in love with the author, her writing and the characters… and I am more than happy to share the love and wholeheartedly recommend this book. You get great character development, it is laugh out loud funny in parts, there are two smart and cute children that are not just a token gesture, secondary characters that bring life to the story, some very hot, intense and steamy man loving, hilarious text messaging, scenes that will move you to tears and a twist at the end that I never saw coming, throwing a little angst and action in too… Plus an epilogue that will melt your heart which rounded it all up into a complete and wonderful package… yes, I LOVED THIS BOOK!
