Synopsis

Welcome to the Underground!

The erotica authors of the Absolute Write are taking you underground—sometimes literally, sometimes figuratively. Karenna Colcroft’s haunting story gives sex in public an unexpected twist, and Erin Lark makes waiting out a storm into something special—and hot!— before Kate Lowell draws you deep into a cave for a steamy encounter. Lauren Gallagher sends you back to the 1930s for some gambling, bootlegging, and a little forbidden ménage, while Maryn Blackburn brings two enemies together in the wintery depths of World War II.

If you’re in the mood for something extra spicy, you’ll love how C.P. Foster opens up a very new world for a curious barmaid. And stick around because Cleo Peitsche and Jack L. Pyke keep the kink coming.

Come join us—but fair warning. Once you go underground, you may never want to come back…

All proceeds from this anthology benefit the Absolute Write online community.

Monique’s Review

This Anthology, Underground Erotica is a mixture of M/M, M/F and M/M/F. As an M/M reader I have only reviewed the M/M shorts in this book and all three stories together average at a strong 4 stars from me. If you are an M/F Reader that want’s to dip their toes into M/M this is a great anthology to pick up, and with so many of our followers loving both M/M and M/F… this would be a perfect treat to get a fix of all your kinks in one book!

Love Underground by Kate Lowell

This was such a cute quirky tale, full of fun and romance and yes an erotic dalliance underground… with an aww moment that will melt your heart.

These two men are already in an established relationship and are total opposites, Jaime the rugged outdoors type and Henry the geeky nerd. This book is also aptly named and fits perfectly into this anthology, because Jaime decides for Henry’s birthday he’s taking him spelunking (Exploring caves, and yes, I had to look it up!) Definitely not something at the top of Henry’s to do list as he’s more of a stay at home in a comfy chair and a good book type… But if his man of three years want to take him caving, well, anything for Jaime!

Love Kate Lowell… and her writing always makes me smile, she is one writer who’s personality totally comes across in her writing.

Cigarettes and Chocolate by Maryn Blackburn

I am not familiar with Maryn Blackburn, but I have to say I was suitably impressed with this short story and was completely caught up in the moment, even though Gene and Eric’s tale is a bittersweet one I loved it. I was left with a sense of longing for more and an ache in my heart for these two men, and by a smidgen it was probably my favourite of the three stories I read in this anthology.

We meet Gene in a nursing home, where we flashback to his former nineteen year old self in world war two. A scrawny kid that finds himself the only survivor of a German attack where he meets Erich who is the only survivor of the allied troops retaliation. Hold up for a few days together in a state of limbo they form a bond that transcends time and become lovers that have no fear in that moment of bigotry and hate, just two men for the first time embracing a forbidden love. It was both beautiful and heart-breaking, and how I would love to read this as a full novel.

Original Sin by Jack L Pyke

No secret here that Jack Pyke’s book Don’t is one of my all time favourite reads,  I will read anything of hers including her shopping list if I could get my hands on it! What I love about Jack’s writing is the edginess to it, it’s dark and gritty and will keep you totally engrossed. Jack Pyke makes you think, she creates an intriguing plot that you can’t take your eye off for a moment and the sex it not your vanilla type either, she goes for the darker side of erotic romance which of course always hits my kink buttons.

What do you do when a joy ride in your boss’s Rolls Royce, leads to the car being nicked and a giant of a man then ties you up, gags you and sexually arouses you to the point of euphoria… Mmm, you’ll have to read it to find out!

This short started out at a sedate pace, lulled me into a false sense of security, wondering in which direction she was going to take me next, got a little dark and twisted and ended with… I WANT MORE!

Underground Erotica

Author: Jack L. Pyke

Title of short story in Underground Erotica: Original Sin

Genre of short story: Contemporary BDSM M/M

I’ve got to mention that all royalties from this anthology go to supporting Absolute Write, a first-class forum for writers. AW has been home to me for nearly five years, and has probably saved my hide a hundred times over. There are so many scams and other issues out there to trip up an author along the way, so it’s been a huge—huge help to have AW there to fall back on. They’ve been there to help through the good, and more importantly, the bad, so it’s good to try and give something back.

With Underground Erotica itself, going deep down and dirty was our theme. Whether AW erotica authors were metaphorical or literal in intent, we were let loose regardless, free to interpret this which ever way we wanted to go.

“Honour among thieves” was my drive, and it made me wonder what the hell would happen when that honour code was tested amongst thieves: what would be the crime, more to the point—what would be the punishment?

So the underground crime movement, added to the natural instinct of one thief’s need to dominate another, becomes the draw behind the title to my short story, Original Sin. I humbly hope you enjoy it.

Excerpt

He let his hand brush my cheek and a shiver raced all the way down to my groin. “You’ve a beautiful smile, pup.” Eyes showed a little sadness. “Yet you lowered your eyes so easily for me at Mack’s. The fall of those forest greens…” He sighed. “I’m old enough and daft enough to live with my conscience, my sins. You…?”

I had no sins. My conscience was clear. Mostly.

“Or,” he said, seeming to pick up on that last thought, “you sign those confessions.”

“Hmph.” I quickly shook my head.

“Good.” He casually ran a touch to pyjama tie, then rested his hand palm flat, on my stomach.

I looked away, the hell did I look away. I’d felt fear, hated it back then, but this was far from any fear I’d ever felt.

“Nice, pup.” He slipped lower, over the silk of my pyjamas, all to add a dead weight to the swelling in my cock. “Real nice, thank you.”

He stroked almost distractedly up and down, and I breathed, just breathed.

“I ask you to do something,” he whispered in my ear, his breath stirring the soft hairs on my neck, “you comply.” He ran his free hand over my shoulder, and I screwed my eyes shut. Mind and body weren’t working together, polar opposites, maybe? “Do you understand what I mean by comply, pup?”

God damn my soul, I nodded, just once.

About Jack L Pyke

Jack blames her dark writing influences on living close to one of England’s finest forests. Having grown up hearing a history of kidnappings, murders, strange sightings, and sexual exploits her neck of the woods is renowned for, Jack takes that into her writing, having also learned that human coping strategies for intense situations can sometimes make the best of people have disastrously bad moments. Redeeming those flaws is Jack’s drive, and if that drive just happens to lead to sexual tension between two or more guys in a D/s relationship, Jack’s the first to let nature take its course.
