Synopsis

In a novel that’s perfect for fans of Fifty Shades of Grey, Stacey Kennedy returns to Club Sin with another wicked and wild tale of submission, seduction, and love.

At Las Vegas’s exclusive Club Sin, Aidan Knight is the Master, unleashing the erotic yearnings of his submissive lovers. But his dominant façade conceals a devastating loss—something he instantly recognizes in his personally trained submissive Cora Adams. Sworn to unearth her secrets, Aidan uses his seductive skills to ignite her wildest desires until Cora yields to the pleasure she can find only with him.

Cora came to the BDSM club to act out her sub-and-dom fantasies without ever revealing the heartbreak that haunts her. But Aidan’s masterful touch is bringing her closer to the edge . . . and deeper into a world of control and surrender. He refuses to allow her to submit to any other man—nor does she want to. It’s a dangerous game they’re playing. For as they give in to passion, they must lay bare their souls for a love that could heal—and free—them both.

Bared is an erotic romance intended for mature audiences.

Becs’ Review

Bared is the second novel in Stacey Kennedy’s BDSM series Club Sin and works completely well as a standalone.  It is not necessary to read the first book in the series, Claimed, to understand what is happening in this one.

I think it’s safe to say that these books are based purely on a fantasy world where the doms are pretty much not just  perfect doms but perfect men as wel – just exactly the way we girls would want them to be.  So long as you accept this and just go with the flow, then these books work as deliciously erotic romance with feisty submissives and doms to die for.

There’s not a huge amount of action in these books – they’re purely romances and each book examines the dynamics of a D/s relationship.  In Bared, it is the turn of Cora and Master Aidan.  They’ve been playing together in the dungeon at Club Sin for two years and Cora is the perfect submissive for Aidan – she’s strong in her submission and gives herself completely to her dom and he revels in this.  Aidan is highly accomplished in his sensual mastery of her but sees her as only a submissive, having lost the previous woman in his life to a drunk driver.  He never wants that kind of connection again and is unable to let go of his grief.

Cora, of course, is completely and utterly in love with her dom but copes with the relationship never extending beyond the dungeon but deep down she wants far more but, after two years, she is finding it harder and harder to hide her feelings and her apparent unhappiness makes Aidan uneasy even though he can’t understand why and so this is our story – it’s largely the development of Aidan and Cora’s relationship to something that will extend beyond the dungeon.

As a BDSM romance this works really well and will appeal to fans of Cherise Sinclair, Roni Loren and Lynda Aicher – it’s mostly glitterkink club based and I would classify it was BDSM lite.  There’s really nothing more hardcore than bondage and flogging going on here.  It’s very romantic – the doms really are swoonworthy, every single one of them, and I can’t wait to hear all of their stories.

Aidan and Cora really do light up the pages with their D/s scenes in the club – they are, at first, wonderfully compatible and to outward appearances the perfect dom/sub couple but things get a little rocky for them as they have to work through their different expectations and Aidan needs to let go of the past and embrace what he has right in front of him.

So, for a wonderful, deliciously sexy and sensual  BDSM romance the whole Club Sin series really does check all the boxes – very much looking forward to more from Stacey Kennedy.

Today we have USA Today Bestselling Author, Stacey Kennedy. She’s an urban fantasy lover at heart, but she also enjoys losing herself in dark and sensual worlds. She lives in southwestern Ontario with her husband, who gave her a happily-ever-after. Together, they have two small children who can always make her smile, and who will never be allowed to read Mommy’s books. If she’s not plugging away at a new story, you’ll find her camping, curling up with the latest flick, or obsessing over Supernatural, True Blood, Lost Girl, and Sons of Anarchy.

In her newest release, the second CLUB SIN novel, BARED, we are introduced to the submissive, Cora and Club Sin Master, Aidan. Today Stacey is sharing an excerpt from Bared.

Welcome, Stacey!

I’m so excited to be here. Today I’m sharing a scene from BARED where Cora is seeing Aidan for the first time out of the exclusive BDSM dungeon, Club Sin. Part of why I loved writing this story so much was because it was almost like writing a relationship backwards.

Cora and Aidan have been together causally for two years. Their D/s relationship was already established. But the neat part in writing their story was taking their relationship from casual and turning into everlasting love. Did it happen? Well, that would ruin the story if I told you. <grins>

Needless to say, their story was enjoyable to write. The heat between them was already there, but seeing Cora react to Aidan outside of Club Sin made me laugh. I’m sure we can all understand why she found it so hard to be around a man in everyday life that she usually only experiences sexy moments with. And why her mind strayed every once in a while.

I hope Cora makes you smile and gives you a few chuckles!!

When she reached the kitchen, Aidan was hot on her heels. Turning to him, she set her bag of lingerie on the countertop. Her knees buckled as he leaned against her counter with his arms folded, oozing authority. As he always did, he dominated the space, and butterflies fluttered in her belly.

Him, in her house, all alone . . . a naked Aidan taking her against the countertop flashed like a wicked fantasy in her mind.

Stop!

He regarded her with a long look, and to her dismay, no heat rested in his shadowy eyes, only softness. “Talk to me.”

Her mouth was dry as she moved to the stainless-steel fridge and grabbed a bottle of water. “What do you want to talk about? Sports? The weather?”

His warm hand grasped hers and she melted into his hold. God, his touch . . . it curled her toes. She looked to him and his stern voice matched the severity of his features. “Talk now.”

Cora glanced to her water bottle in desperation to add moisture to her mouth. She restrained a moan as the heat from his body engulfed her in a seductive burn. “I don’t know how many ways I can possibly tell you that nothing’s wrong.”

Aidan captured her gaze with a finger under her chin. His eyes flared with power as he pressed his body into hers, trapping her between himself and the countertop. “Last night, I saw sadness . . .” He brushed his finger under her eye with a gentle sweep. “Right here, Cora. Don’t lie to me.”

Lost in his stare, her mind stuttered. To have him this close made her ache. To have Aidan in her home on a Saturday afternoon had been what she used to wish for. All the same, her blood went frigid. She did this to protect him and to keep what they had together. She wasn’t the problem. His avoidance to move on from Lily was. “I’m fine,” she said through clenched teeth.

“Cora,” he said, low and slow.

She heaved a sigh, swallowing under the assault of his closeness. “Really, it’s all A-okay.” He locked his elbows as she attempted to shift out of his hold. A hot shiver raced into her loins.

Trapped in his alert gaze, she spun into a whirlwind of desire. She craved his hot kisses, his burning touch. He examined her furtively. “Did something in our scene last night upset you?”

“Of course not.” The space between them got a helluva lot smaller, and she pushed against his arm. The hard muscle didn’t move. As a submissive, she relished that power and removal of choices. Now it made her feel like a little woman in the presence of an incredibly commanding man.

The bigger problem?

Her soaked panties.

She needed that damn water . . . and she needed it now!

Shifting against the counter to retreat, her back ached at the hard marble pressing into her skin. Think, Cora. He needed a reason why she had left so abruptly. She’d never panicked like that before. Yet he’d never questioned her like that, either. And quite possibly the conversation with Presley had opened old wounds.

Cora squirmed to draw away from him, which only rubbed her against his hard cock. She cursed his damn jeans and hers for the barrier. Aidan touched her only in scenes, but her body didn’t know the difference. He awakened her.

Aidan leaned in, erasing the distance. “Did Presley upset you?”

Her fingers twitched to reach out and explore his face. Achy and hot, she craved to fulfill that earlier fantasy. His large pupils indicated he wouldn’t be unwilling. “No,” she said both to his question and to her body’s desire.

He drew his bottom lip in between his teeth and he leaned closer, nose-to-nose. “Let me get this straight—you want me to believe you’re perfectly fine, and that nothing is bothering you?”

Under his fierce stare, she shut her eyes to avoid him. His velvety-soft voice struck her as if a vibrator was tormenting her clit. His closeness, that perfect mouth that kissed her passionately, and the waves of heat coming off him all made it impossible to think.

With a soul-deep shove, she forced her eyes open. Now wasn’t the time to lose sight of what she wanted. In Club Sin, Doms held control. Out of it, she lived on her terms. She’d chosen her path with Aidan. She’d made difficult choices but had accepted them.

While she understood Aidan’s intent came from concern, she had run out of ideas. How many times could she say I’m fine before she even annoyed herself? “I don’t know what to say.”

One sleek eyebrow arched. “You tell the truth, Cora.”
