Synopsis

It started with an accidental click…but where will it end?
Desperate to turn in a paper, Adam borrows his roommate's computer and mistakenly opens a folder that contains Josh's collection of porn. Adam had no idea that his jock roommate was gay—and into leashes, paddles and domination. And Adam, an inexperienced virgin who's only ever kissed one guy, is surprised to find himself curious about submitting…
Josh can't believe that his roommate discovered his spank bank—and he can't believe that Adam is so turned on by the thought of giving up control to someone. Taking a chance, he offers to look through the photos with Adam…and maybe try acting some of them out.
Night after night, the boys delve into their darkest fantasies of domination and submission. And as lust and experimentation grow into the promise of something deeper, Adam must decide if he's brave enough to tell Josh how he feels.

Monique’s Quick Bite

This is a delightful tale… HOT as FUCK! …and yes, it’s full of intense and extremely erotic sex and… oh my, those scenes were an absolute pleasure to read. It could be classed as a PWP, but I love my smut, mix it with BDSM and I’m one ecstatically happy lady! There is enough of a story to keep you engrossed, but it’s more about the emotional connection between  the sweet, shy and very awkward geek Adam and our a closeted jock… Josh. I loved them, so damn sexy and adorable!

What sets this book apart from others of the same ilk, is that, Josh and Adam are sexually inexperienced, exploring a side/kink to their nature they have just discovered. This is BDSM at the fledgling stage, where neither of them has a clue of the wheres or whyfors and together they learn their inner most sexual desires, setting the boundaries and pushing the limits on a D/s voyage of discovery. We see what starts out as something full of uncertainty and almost clinical, grow through friendship, they begin to trust each other through their openness and honesty, communication being the key here although initially it’s only behind doors, but it’s not long before that Indifference turns to affection and the passion and intimacy is enough to keep that cold shower running!

Hot and very sexy read… highly recommended!

Synopsis

A lord in danger. A magician in turmoil. A snowball in hell.

A Charm of Magpies, Book 1

Exiled to China for twenty years, Lucien Vaudrey never planned to return to England. But with the mysterious deaths of his father and brother, it seems the new Lord Crane has inherited an earldom. He’s also inherited his family’s enemies. He needs magical assistance, fast. He doesn’t expect it to turn up angry.
Magician Stephen Day has good reason to hate Crane’s family. Unfortunately, it’s his job to deal with supernatural threats. Besides, the earl is unlike any aristocrat he’s ever met, with the tattoos, the attitude…and the way Crane seems determined to get him into bed. That’s definitely unusual.
Soon Stephen is falling hard for the worst possible man, at the worst possible time. But Crane’s dangerous appeal isn’t the only thing rendering Stephen powerless. Evil pervades the house, a web of plots is closing round Crane, and if Stephen can’t find a way through it—they’re both going to die.
Warning: Contains hot m/m sex between a deeply inappropriate earl and a very confused magician, dark plots in a magical version of Victorian England, family values (not the good kind), and a lot of swearing

Macky’s Quick Bite

Fabulous, unusual, wonderful, magical, different creepy, funny, witty, quirky, Sexy, scary, awesome.... I want more!

I want more charismatic Crane, I want more mysterious unassuming yet powerful Stephen, I want more Merrick, more magical magpies, more tattoos, more warlocks, witchcraft , simmering sexual tension, sizzling chemistry and edge of your seat tension.

WOW! That's what I call refreshing! There has to be more..... I liked this A lot!!

Synopsis

18-year-old Vincent Hazelwood has spent his entire life being shuffled from one foster home to the next. His grades sucked. Making friends? Out of the question thanks to his nervous breakdowns and unpredictable moods. Still, Vince thought when Maggie Atkins took him in, he might’ve finally found a place to get his life—and his issues—in order.
But then Maggie keels over from a heart attack. Vince is homeless, alone, and the inheritance money isn't going to last long. A year ago, Vince watched a girl leap to her death off a bridge, and now he's starting to think she had the right idea.
Vince stumbles across a website forum geared toward people considering suicide. There, he meets others with the same debate regarding the pros and cons of death: Casper, battling cancer, would rather off herself than slowly waste away. And there’s quiet, withdrawn Adam, who suspects if he died, his mom wouldn't even notice.
As they gravitate toward each other, Vince searches for a reason to live while coping without Maggie's guidance, coming to terms with Casper's imminent death, and falling in love with a boy who doesn't plan on sticking around.

Tina’s Quick Bite

Suicide Watch is surely one of those books that stay with you for a long time. It’s about a friendship of three broken and forgotten teenagers. Casper, a girl in the last stages of cancer, Adam a boy whose mother doesn’t seem to know he even exists and Vincent, a lonely boy suffering from panic attacks. All three of them are toying with the idea of committing suicide.

The characters are so pained and hurt, but still the story provides hope and love for the sick, lonely and forgotten people in our heartless and cold world. The slowly blossoming love between Vince and Adam is so beautiful to watch. Only thinking about this wonderful and extraordinary love makes me cry again. It’s sad, heart-breaking, beautiful, brutally honest, exceptional and… hopeful at the same time, a little gem I won’t forget. Ever!

Synopsis

Read chapters 1 & 2 from the author's website: (PDF)

Lincoln McCaw lost everything — his home, his job, his partner — after he caused a fatal accident. A year later, he's drowning the guilt and despair in whiskey, but he needs to move on. His sister and her kids are counting on him. Then he meets a man who ignites a passion Lincoln thought he'd never find. Too bad one night is all they can have together. Now he needs to figure out how to turn away from the only person who makes him feel alive . . . before whoever is sending him threats decides Lincoln needs to suffer more than he already has.
Jay Miller is surrounded by grief and misery until he finally gives in to all those years of sexual fantasies about being with another guy. Realizing he's ended up in the arms of the man who caused his wife's accident, he tries to pull away. But how can he give up a friendship he needs more than anything — a friendship and a love that could save him? He may not have time to make the choice before someone else destroys it all.

Mark’s Quick Bite

Fact is stranger than fiction. This story touched based for me and dealt with some very emotional aspects. I felt drawn into the MCs world from the very beginning and the author's style felt comfortable and smooth making it a compelling, non-stop read. The plot development and many threads was well handled and left me wanting more at the end. Jay and Lincoln, two guys on opposite ends but joined together by a common person who although in death brings them together. Jay suffering from grief and loss. Lincoln suffering from guilt and blame. Running parallel to their relationship is the thriller part of the story which also builds in intensity at the same rate as their relationship, lots of red herrings and had me guessing right to the end. I loved this book on a level that it is also a lesson for life. Accidents happen and they're never intentional, no matter how bad, nobody is ever really to blame.

But I won't pay 3.44 (Amazon's) current price for the book, when it's way less then 200 pages. Not sure what actually length requirement is for it to be called a novella?
